for sone reason i am not able to log in, i have restarted my comp several times, unplugged the modem several times, and when i open the playonline, and load my password, it says its busy and to try again. this all started when i was using my other computer to load playonline, while i was logged on. then, for some reason, the seach function did not work, and the auction house did not work. anyone else have this problem, or is it just my computer?

This happened to me a bit ago, and I just ran FFXI by loading polboot.exe in the FFXI directory. It worked normally shortly after that, I just believe that the POL server was just a bit busy at the time. As for your problem, I would check your files from the check option on the sign-on page. If you have it set to automaticly log in at startup, you have to cancel the password to get to the log in menu.

happened to me last night. POL-0006 for 6 hours straight.
Server overload. My advice when this happens is to go play something else.
My recent game to play when I can't get in is Shadow Hearts: Covenant. I highly recommend it.

thanks guys, didnt mean to vent, it was just that i was in the middle of cooking on watersday, with my water crystal, and i didnt want to lose the opportunity of that day. thanks again guys.

lol no biggie. to quote wintaru when i did a similar thing yesterday, venting = healthy.
