Don't buy this. It may be a scam and if it isn't, you'd be better off buying the thing yourself. This person could but one or be given an hourglass and has the ability to duplicate it which is how they are distributed to people doing Dynamis.

Is a WAR40 really prepared for a Dynamis run?

Need to be at least lv65 for the game to allow you to enter into Dynamis.

A perpetual hourglass that can't be duplicated?

Somehow the thought of entering Dynamis by myself doesn't seem worth any amount of gil.

And out of curiosity, how is it that you can't spell perpetual correctly, yet you have one in your possession?

I'm just curious. ^^

Anyway, I suppose for novelty value I'll offer you 1 gil for it. Let me know if you're interested. /grin

Apparently this person and his whole LS whose levels cannot be more than 60 obtained an hour glass (which can be bought for 1 million gil from the goblin in castle Vazhl by anyone rank 6 or higher) and an artic wind (a drop off a god) and they are spamming lower Jeuno to get rid of it. I suspected that somewhere a high level's account is being raided. Today someone stopped me at random in Jeuno and proposed a trade showing me the 2 items asking if I'm interested.

1. No use in having an hour glass if you can't host an event.

2. Reputable LS-ses won't even bother with a potential scam, they would buy it legit from NPC if they ever want to hold Dynamis

3. Artic Wind are worthless, no one even have high enough throwing skill to hit a god with it. I bet the person that's selling doesn't even know what its for.

4. Seems like the item was stolen from a high level's account or was given to the sellers.

Sometimes it amazes me that my mind can work so SLOW.

It occurs to me that a Perpetual Hourglass has a timer on it.

You buy a Timeless Hourglass for 1,000,000 gil from the NPC, and once it is traded with a set of Trail Markings it becomes a Perpetual Hourglass. Which has a 210 minute timer.

Even supposing this was a real Perpetual Hourglass that had just started ticking down when the OP made this thread, the time limit is way past now.

Are they still trying to sell it?

Lol I'm serious now, I really will buy that used Perpetual Hourglass off you for 1 gil. Since I'm nowhere NEAR high enough a level to participate in Dynamis, it would be nice to see one firsthand. =)

And one additional note. You can duplicate perpetual hourglasses infinitely, but only the first 64 people who enter into a reserved Dynamis can enter it again until the timer expires.

Not really relevant, but I figure since the topic came up...

What's up with these being sold like crazy lately? First this, and last night someone shouting in Bastok selling one. You just know some brand-spanking new player is going to drop a huge wad of gil on one, only to find out they've been had. :/

Well, in that case, it was one sucker trying to find another. Cluelessperson claimed to have bought it from someone else for 200K in a trade. So he was trying to find someone equally dumb to help him recoup some of his stupid investment.

Yeah he was yelling in Bastok of all places first of all, then he went to jeuno later. Everyone should just ignore him.

Sorry, Palicus, but I hope you didn't pay much for it ;)

Sidenote: all perpetual hourglasses are *real* it's just a question of whether the counter on the bottom has expired or not. If it has, it is worthless.

Since I'm not yet high enough to participate, I can't tell you whether it ticks down automatically once it becomes a perpetual hourglass or not. I also couldn't tell you what the timer looks like when it has run out. But chances are a perpetual hourglass in the hands of a level 40 warrior who thinks it's funny to boost-spam on an airship is a bad deal.

I had to blacklist this guy so my screen wouldn't be so cluttered on the way to kazham once. ><

When you buy a hourglass, it stays as is, until you break it, Once you break it, you create as many hourglasses as you want, and the timer is started. Only 64 ppl can enter dynamis at anyone time. Once the glass is expired you can still make more, but the counter is expired and is worthless.

Timeless Hourglasses are worth 1 mil gil.

Perpetual Hourglasses are worth nothing.

Don't buy things if you don't know what they are ^^
