I just started messing around with BST again the other day (only lvl 10) and I had someone explain to me about the "Ghetto Release". I was told to let the pet keep aggro throughout the fight and when your pets nearly dead cast heel and let the mob kill your pet then you kill the mob when your pets dies. I don't know if I'm doing this right or wrong but when I cast heel the pet heels like it should but the mob starts wailing on me. Is there anyone that can explain if this is the right way to "Ghetto Release" If it is not please explain how to do it right.

Thanks!

Perhaps some research on the beastmaster forum would aid you, since this is, after all, a BST question :P

At that level, you're outdamaging your pet if you choose to melee. Naturally, if you choose to melee alongside your pet, the mob will continue to fight you, long after your pet is dead and gone.

Of course, I think the mob will still aggro you, even if you don't melee, but I'm not sure.

Early on when you try this technique, the command itself will peel aggro right off your pet and onto you. Later on this will change. In order to prevent the mob from aggroing you, move outside of aggro range before you use the command. Move back until you no longer see the battle animations (you still should be able to see the battle text on screen), and then use heel. Also, for future reference, this is the range at which you can cure yourself without pulling aggro.

Thanks for the reply's I didn't have that much time to look it up on the BST thread earlier today. But know that I have a few minutes I finally found it. I don't melee it at all that was the wierd thing, but I didn't know heel causes hate. So I'le keep trying thanks.
