I noticed that some areas are not as populated as others, like in windurst Wind Woods and E. Sab are the most populated. But it doesnt make sense why an area just as great as another isn't cramed full of PT's. Bubu has great monsters it even has the Sub Job quest there in Mhuara. Yah sure Dunes is connected to both San d'Oria and Bastok but why is Bubu like a ghost area? They both have an Outpost, a zone to a 'non-beast' zone, and a place to fish.
So please tell me why Dunes is more popular than Bubu! Thanks.

Just what you said, and that is because it is tied to Bastok and San O'doria. So 2/3's of the people go there, and it somewhat forces the other 1/3 to go there. I prefer Bubu though, mainly because it is so close to Windurst and you can stay in Tahrongi till about 13 and then go into Bubu and start on Mighty Rarabs and Onions...
I prefer Bubu just because it's not crowded. <.< But only with LS parties and whatnot. But at that level, Korroloka's better anyway. I used to have a set at 16 with RNG(undedicated tank + pickup tank shortage killed it at 20. <.<), and from 16-18, we leveled in Bubu with 0 competition for pugs. :D Not to mention the fact that the Bogies all spawn way up the beach, and not right near the water. ^^
One big reason that people dont do the Mhaura quest is the Bloody Robe that you have to get. The Bogy's that you have to fight for it can go up to level 33.

Very true. When I was on Midgardsormr (and new) we had a level 40+ RDM get our bloody robes and he had problems with some of the bogies...
I mean, the Rarab drop and the Dhalmel drop are easy as hell to get, but the bloody robe.... ugh...

anytime i am leveling a job 10-20 i try to convince the PT to goto buburimu. sometimes it works sometimes iit doesnt. but i will say i have never had a PT that decided to go there go badly.
We were able to actually set up chain's easily since there was no competition. As RNG i would go out find some VT T and IT's and then pull them back in a good order.
VT > T > IT > T > T > IT or somethign like that. Since there were ummm 0 other parties around it made it a blast, mobs dried up near us? move a little east. dried up there move to the beach. there is no extra lag, no competition and best of all its 90% the same mobs!

Dunes is very close to Sandy and Bastok
Babu is very close to Windy only.
Its 2 kingdom to 1. Lowbies don't pick the best leveling place. Just the closest.
