BCNM40 -GiddeusFollow

Hello everyone, lvl 42 Bard/whm here... looking for other people who want to do some BCNM fights... I currently have everything I'll need for the fight minus my AF1 dagger... I have +18 cha atm and have mary's horn. I usually log in Monday-Friday between 10am est until 5-6pm est. Lemme know if anyone wants to start a BCNM static up, or just try one for the heck of it. Atm I currently have a star orb, and enough seals to get 2 more...

I dunno how drks play out in this BCNM. But im down.

ok so brd sam and drk so far... if we could grab a whm and rdm and a rng we might be able to survive... sam would have to tank in that format tho..

May I make a recommendation? Get a paladin - they're MUCH better as tanks for these things than ninjas or warriors, as the extra curing power is necessary and ninjas' shadows disappear too fast - and possibly a thief - SATA is absolutely invaluable, in the setups I've done. I can also go as WAR or MNK depending upon the configuration. Up to you of course, but I do think the most important thing is to get a pld tank. If I tanked as a sam I'd be getting beat up too much and wasting too much healing MP. :/

I'm down just let me know what you would like me to go with.

... I'm a red mage that is fearful of these things but if you think we can do a succesfull round -Has done at least one bcnm of each level and died- I'm up for it. I'm in desprate need of Phalanx and gil so send me a tell.

I'm game to fill your RDM slot. Have never done a BCNM, but I'm willing to follow whatever strategy you set down for me.

EDIT: BTW, from what I do know about Steamed Sprouts, you'll want a RDM/BLM specifically (rather than RDM/WHM) to ES+Silence the black mandragora, right?

I should not post while I'm tired. WAR and MNK at 30 =! available for BCNM40. I was thinking of Promyvion, I think. Disregard my previous post, the only thing I can be is SAM.

I am a BRD/WHM i have done this BCNM before as to a RDM being used for silence well that isn't there typical role that is why a DRK is used for Stun(37 for DRK).
A RDM is typically the Main healer for the Melee while they pick off the Onions. Also can cast debuffs.
A WHM, BLM/WHM, or SMN/WHM is typically the Healer to focus on the BRD because the BRD will get the crap beat out of him/her.
A BRD Obvious lol sleep them, however keep in mind that Horde Lullaby has a Small AoE so if you target a Onion in front of you and more than 1 end up behind you then its pretty much over
A PLD, NIN/WAR, or WAR/NIN is the main tank and might also be the puller if you take a BLM over a RNG. Yes all these jobs can work with a RDM as main healer who will be in the area to be casting debuffs that stick for the most part.
A RNG again obvious DD
A BLM alternative to a RNG. Can also take up the slot of Healer.
A DRK DD and Stun for Flood.
A SAM a melee DD. Also adds to the SC possiblities, great if you have a BLM nuker.

Alternative ideas granted being that you are a BRD you prob won't use these but here they are:
2x RNG/NIN can play tank switching between each other.
A RDM can be the one to tank the onions using Diaga to hold aggro and Stoneskin/Phalanx to minimize the damage.
A SMN can also be used as an emergency Sleeper with Shiva since Sleepga for shiva is 39.


One last thing to note for Steamed Sprouts everything rides on the BRD to stay calm and have everything work out correctly.

Also i have SMN/WHM and I am very well prepared as a Main Healer as SMN so if ya need a main healer and i am free i am up for it since i hate plying BRD for this. I have gear for it at 40, i also come well prepared, i know what a Main Healer and/or BRD healer has to do in this so i know what to expect and where to stand. I am on a lot i have a few Seals left right now but since i like doing BCNMs i am usually farming them so i should have enough for an orb.
