I would support it. I've done it (however, accidently believe it or not).
And of course, that would be the one time a GM would actually do something probably.

i support it. If you need someone to pull trains on botters or Gil Famers Im always down.
I say we string them up and hang them from the front gates of all the towns as a warning to other gil farmers that we don't take too kindly to their kind around these parts.

I wouldnt have a problem with it, I let a botter die recently :)
E.Sarutabaruta fishbot, it had fished up a monster and didnt stop fishing, eventually it died, as a WHM (at the time) I could have healed, but im not obligated to help anyone.

I was wondering if that actually is against the TOS. On my server there was a smn/war voke-botting the o kote while we were camping it for a friend. If we dragged mobs up to it, called for help, and had it provoke stuff off us is that illegal? I'm sure a level 70+ would be bothered by such a death, but can they really report me to a gm because they died because they provoked mobs off me?
We were close to killing them, then a redmage showed up who was getting ready to set up their voke bot and cured them. :(

Here is my experiences with GMs and Gil Farmers.
Happygood and Happydz on bismark claimed Morion Worm but weren't killing it i watched for over 20 minutes came back about an hour after the GM contacted me about my complaint and they were doing it.
Here is roughly what the GM said:
Also long as a monster claimed by someone isn't hurting another player they are free to do what they want with it.
As to calling for help on mobs to get botters and Voke Spammers this is not against the rules of SE so it is aloud. and i do it a lot whenever i see gilfarmers spaming voke macros. here is the simplist reason calling for help can be done when you don't think you can handle the mob alone even if you are 75 and you voke a vulture you can call for help and still be justified in doing it. granted this is a dirty trick but it works and the gil farmers do it too.

i've kinda ...killed a few gil farmers..
When they use their bots they target the first thing near them half the time..anyways..If you are a DRG and have your pet out..they auto target that..and miss it or go to another mob and provoke..
Tomcc and Jerryz took one for the team today..the jerry ALMOST died i'im sorry..he took on an ooze and his galka friend wasn't coming in so he almost bit the big one until he 2hr'ed it.

lol yeah i kinda killed a Jerry too, the mithra thief one, agroed a jelly in korroloka tunnel, i was with a friend PLD 74 doing NIN quest, she passed by us turning around saying help...my friend was like hmmm...just...die, aint helping a damn bot. So we didnt kill the jelly and the jerry died heh
