Lets all just get along!!!Follow

As we all know this is only a game, and for many of us myself included is a rat race to become uber.

I have been playing this game for about 1 year and I have only managed to get my DRG to level 54 and my PLD to level 55. I quit for 3 months, and lately the state of this server has gotten worst than it used to be. Not only because of gil farmers but because I among a big population of Bismarck have changed and the things that mattered and the things that made this game great have gotten in the way of our leveling.

I have also gotten bitter about certain things and only blame myself for that. And I would like to be the 1st to appologize to those I offended and everyone else I have ignored.

I want to start a thread about what do you think will make us the great server we used to be. What I want to hear is suggestions in human relations that will make partying questing and other things more satisfying and more pleasent.

Please it may sound corny but I just wanna know what makes you like a certain person and what we can do to better interact with one another.

Jeez, only if you sticked to one job. You'd have 1 level 75 job.

You will never be able to get even 40% of the people on any MMRPG to "get along" because, and this is just my opinion, the sometimes huge age differences.

What I find to be fun or funny at 31 is not going to be what I find funny at when I was 15, and vice versa. So, when some idiot has a "Who farted" /emote set-up and spams it during alliance events, such as Promyvion Missions, it takes every ounce of my strength to not tell them how retarded they are. However, there may be some people who actually find it funny, due to their age perhaps or different tastes in humor.

For example, if I go to get a pick-up party to level a sub, I am there to do just that...level. Not to necessarily make buddys or engage in humorous banter. If you miss skill chains or vokes because your too busy typing your next witty comment, I hate you.

My point is this, the more you try to have everyone get along, the worse your gaming experience will become. Just stick with like minded people as you and ignore the chumps.

Well you both are right emilyia and Trizzoro.

Emilyia I tried the whole static thing for a while but my life is a little random at times. I work from 9-5 but can stay overnight if a big project comes in. Sometimes my wife needs stuff so I have to go shopping, so I play when I can, I am not necessarily on all the time. So static pt is sort of out the question. Seeking party as a DRG is no fun, esp from 50-60. when I reached 54 DRG and didnt party for 2 weeks, I leveled PLD from 20-40 in about 2 weeks, my LS is a thief LS so required to lvl THF to 30+ so I did that. I got a phone call to interview for a new job I got it and been working here ever since left the game for 3 months trying to adjust to new schedules. In the last month I got PLD from 40-55. I wish I was 75 could have been, but I am not.

And this is what brings me to Trizziro's suggestion, I remember back when the NA release, so many JP players receiving NA with open arms. At least that was my experience. I tried the same during PS2 release and didnt work, PS2 people are really cool, but a lot of jerks came with the PS2 release. Which just multiplied the Jerks that we got with the PC realease to double with PS2 release. And by all this I in no means trying to blame PS2 people, what I am saying is the bigger the server gets the bigger the number of jerks that get through.

I have become kind of bitter, but the Allakhazam community has helped me a lot getting through these disappointing moments. Things break, relationships disappear, people quit, etc but you just have to move on I guess. Honestly once I get PLD to 60 I plan to help more people in the hopes of making the game a better place for my friends.

No way to make the server better. The only thing you can do is make your little slice of the server better.

Surround yourself with people you enjoy and trust. Make friends with those who appeal to you. Be nice to those around you, and help out those you can when you can. If someone is a pain, don't deal with them, just move on.

Trizzoro is right. I can't stand alot of people. They are either not motivated, just plain stupid, or just simply not trustworthy. Like the real world, there are lots of bad (and good) ppl in the game. It is your own discretion on how to interact with them.

You'll end up being bitter if you tries to entrust and befriend everyone. Expect alot of mess ups due to other's lack of skill or just plain carelessness. Or you might even get stabbed in the back. Now those are the worst.

Hmm..

Mooni and Sprite are gone.. Bismarck is all well now!!

J/k. This has been a big issue about how most players are Power Gamers. I just hope that the next holliday event will bring bismarck closer somehow. Sorta like the last Christmas one did.

You cannot change people, but people can change ^.^
I moved server and, it's not like there is "Nicer" people on bismark. I just met new people, that's all. ^_^; Of course you,ll lose friends but you'll meet more ppl. If there is Bad people, ignore them, being mad at them or arguing will only make u as bad as they are.

/em recalls memory of when he played last year...

Or like the New Years Event, SE patched in lots of 'Walking Trees,' if the player base killed them all on their particular server, teleports to outposts (the ones you young whipper-snappers that have recently joint FFXI so frivolously enjoy) would be unlocked to all.

This was a nice event, everyone was looking forward to it and flinging themselves at various trees with formidable defences... yes, then a while later people noticed the mob wasnt loosing any health.

Every ws, every chain, every MB, every summon, every item (practically, maybe not artic wind) was thrown at these trees. SE had of course forgotten to code several values of the mob, so they were invincible.

After the patch to fix that problem occured the trees all died after about eight to ten hours, this was on Phoenix though, and was mighty fun.

I was around for the death of E/W.Ron Trees ^_^

/em fades back to current character

/sigh

Maybe youll see me in Garlaige leveling Blm... or Crawlers in a day or so.
