You know what I'm tired of? Doing quests with high level help + sneak/invis. I would like to see more quests done the old fashioned way - by cleaving a bloody path through all beastman scum and hideous creatures that oppose us - and gaining exp in the process (i.e. no one in the PT sees the mobs as TWTBW)!

What I'm suggesting is forming PTs of a level on par with the mobs that need to be passed in order to complete the quest, and fighting your way through! I think this would be a much more interesting and challenging way of going about questing, rather than sneak/invising through everything.

What do you say? Who's with me?

I agree wholeheartedly with your premise.
'High-level help' often breeds this mindset that nothing can be done on one's own. I've seen people sit in ruts for days and days because they couldn't get anyone high-level to help them with something they needed; an AF quest, a rank mission, etc.

Unfortunately, most things in this game HAVE to be sneak/invised through. Can you imagine trying to get to Upper Delkfutt's, at level 30, alive?
In some situations cleverness is called for, and unfortunately it would be next to impossible to get some things done without sneak/invis.

On the high level help point I agree completely. There's no challenge to it if some level 75 solos Porphyrion, while you sit in the back and wait. Again, it breeds laziness and dependency.

I don't mind helping out a friend or LS mate with a mission, if I know the person and want to do them a favor. I try not to really do it for shouters in town though, for just that reason (unless I'm very bored ^^)

wellllll~
I never thought Delkfutt's could be done without a pack of 50-60s paving the way, either. Then one day (I must have been crazy), I hooked up with a group of 4 other people going up there. yeah...."4" I think I was 32, at the time, and none of them was too far into their 40s. And, just to make things more intersting, I was the only one that had a map and knew the direction to go (I was there the day before, but didn't complete it...personal idiocy story: I forgot to go to my Consul first /slaps himself).

I belive we only had to Snk/Inv at 3 short spots, and the rest we dilligently fought mob after mob, until we made it to the room at the top. We even beat that giant for our keys...but not without casualties. The Dark Knight got a little frisky and charged right into the middle of the room at him....ugh aggro. Good thing our Whm had Reraise on, and a nice pair of other people came along a few minutes later and got all the other giants out of the way. Total time 1:15

So, I guess, if you have a very competent group, you can do all sorts of things, if you put your mind to it, and a little luck helps too.
