So I've put off leveling after getting 51 this week to farm.
As a WHM I'm starting to feel gimped without Erase, and I want to do something about it. Currently I'm working towards Erase, a Dark Staff and Raise II.
I have 2 questions:
1) Which would you buy first? I'm thinking this order: Erase, Dark Staff, Raise II
2) Anything else you can think of I should have before continuing on? I really want to have the best equip I can, I already have a light staff, check my sig for my current gear. MP is topped out at 700 w/out food.

If you've stopped leveling then your list looks good. If you were going to keep leveling I'd switch up the dark staff then erase.
I should probably stop and farm for my ice staff, I keep showing alittle leg hoping a big strong guy will buy it for me, but I can't compete with the naked mithra runnin' around everywhere going "whoopie look at me, I've got boobies!" *sigh*

Erase, Dark Staff Raise II in that order for me too.
Since you can't use Raise II until level 56, Dark staff and Erase will help you the most now. Before you reach 56 take some time to farm for RII since it make no sense to buy something you can't use for 5 more levels. I think your exp requirement also jumped to 10k + right now so those level up will be slower than before, keeping RII in the safe won't be productive.

1)Dark Staff. It essentially cuts your resting time by helf. Best piece of mage equipment ever.
2)Raise II. People you partied with will be severly disgruntled if you only have Raise I. The only reason to invite WHM over a RDM at level 56 is because of Raise II. RDM/WHM at that level will do just as well the main healer.
3)Erase. Nice spell. But not essential. Most cure aliment status will work just fine.

I know Erase is technically a "luxury" but really, I see a TON of posts of people who won't PT with a WHM who doesn't have it. I know that I could just not PT with those people, but I do like being useful, as anyone who has PT'd with me can attest to. I hear a lot about people saying they expect the WHM to have it after early-mid 50's.
I see you have played quite a while so I may just defer to your judgment in this. However a WHM I hold in high regard got his Erase around this level (he's 75 as well now) and I've tried to pattern myself after him as far as gear and spells and such. (A noble's tunic at 75 will be a little tough to match though ^^)
I'd try to get it thru BCNM but our LS sells ALL loot and splits the cash, so I used up all my Beastman Seals with that (I'm fine with that method, nobody gets screwed that way ^^). I'm trying to get Alchemy high enough so I don't have to farm and can just craft some money makers for a while, but I have a feeling I'm going to have to go farming after a certain point anyway >.<
erase is definitely needed not a luxury if you're a whm. If you are a mage with whm sub and don't have erase it is understandable. Pretty soon you will start fighting with mob that does alot more status effect like those damn toramas. Erase however does not cure certain things like Petrification.
Right, I have every status ailment cure I can have, as well as most of the bar- spells, as worthless as they are. None of them are as "big-ticket" as erase though 8P

You can get erase if you manage to put together a BCNM party that agree's to give you erase. It will drop at least twice in a 6 run BCNM. Raise II......Raise II is a really hard thing to get. If you party in Quicksand caves, try and beg the party you're with for Coffer Keys when they drop if no one needs them or try and tag along with a party going to kill Yagudo High Priest.
All of these things seem sort of impossible to think of. But I know you can do it! I don't have any awesome lvl 40 gear anymore (it was downgraded to seer's tunics), but I know a BRD who needs money more than lifey wifey! with you, me, brd, and a war/rng/thf/drg or something combo and a preferably Galka PLD. we could crank out 6 BCNM's likity split!
If no one agree's to your eating erase. I'll give up my share so you can.

So the Quicksand Caves Coffer is Raise II?
I already have a Coffer key for there, I thought I could get a map of the place with it...I must look into this further ^^
