You know you don't have to go through Beaucedine to find them...

Go to Batallia Downs' map. See that little area around I-10 J-10? Yeah there's an entrance there. And guess what? Liches are in there.

Kinda got into a discussion with Hulksmash today about how I was wrong about that, but I've been in there with a lv 68 RDM who also entered from that side and he managed to kill many Liches (unfortunately none dropped -_-). It's just the careful working of the gates. It's all you need.

...now if only more people knew that maybe I wouldn't be standing in Jeuno shouting for 4 hours...

Any benevolent souls? All I want is 51 so I can move onto BLM (yeah, sounds weird, but 51 WHM is one of my ingame goals, I'm sure you have one ;P). I won't keep you long. If it take more than an hour then we'll just give up...

I'm starting to get desperate. :'(

Agreed. While I did manage to get my paper a while back, I distinctly remember the idea that the glacier entrance was the only way.

It's not by any means, and the drop rate is just the same as any other lich down there. Thing is, there's MORE liches in the glacier entrance, so if you're running with a powerful party and your liches are in short supply, then by all means head to the glacier, otherwise, save yourself the running and head in a different entrance.

There are 3 spawn spots of lich in the glacier entrance for a total of 6 liches. There is a tunnel where the camp is, on either side of the tunnel spawn 2 liches each, the room before that spawn 2 more liches.

In the I-10 entrance where there are sand boxes. Each of the huge sand boxes are surrounded by 2 torch rooms each with 2 liches. So in theory, without messing with any switches you could move across the sand box for a total of 4 liches. If you feel adventurous, you can mess with the switches and have a mobile camp for even more liches.

Another camp is when you drop down the hole to get to the area that lead out to Batalia island (coming in to EN from the I-10 entrance). There is a camp by a stair that have mob that drop coffer keys as well as Lich. Coffer parties here usually link a few lich and if lucky one will drop and no one will need it.

I've camped liches in both areas... the spawn rate is much better in the area that you go through the glacier to get to.

I would love to help you. Being a MNK I live for one thing, and that's bashing Skelly's. Although, at my current level, I would get aggro'd whilst pulling, and possibly get owned tanking them. ; ;

Heh, well, the skelly bashing sentiments are appreciated.

I know the Beaucedine side is better, but the thing is, I play when a lot of JP players are on and few Ennglish speaking (10am-2pm). So my selection of people is really really limited, and so I'm trying to make the whole aspect of "drag this guy around fighting low drop rate mobs for hours on end" just a little easier on the guy. :'(

You don't have to go to the Glacier entrance if you do not want to, that is true. But, the Glacier entrance seems to have lower level liches and the drop rate there is manageable.

Don't get me started on Exorays tho. SOOO glad my LB1 is done.

Excellent Info. If you are having trouble getting a paper party, just listen for people trying to get coffer party. Maybe they'll let you join them. I was farming in Batallia while some LS members were coffer hunting and they were going to let me zone in if a paper dropped. Good luck!

My hero Gaidaigoji got me my paper last night so I'm finally level 51 :D

I just wanted to bump this though because so very few people know you do NOT have to go through there, and if you've got high level help, save yourself the trouble. There's no doubt in my mind the reason I couldn't get help this past week was because people didn't want to trudge through Beaucedine just for me. If more people know about this...

Well, maybe it's a bad thing if TOO many people know, but ya know...
