I can't be the only one with this damned quest just sitting and rotting away in my questlog. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, here it is: http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/db/quests.html?realm=&fquest=379

If you can't find the person you need for this, post here with the description you were given and we'll see if we can't hook you up with someone who fits the description.

I'll start off: I need a hume female with very short, wavy brown hair. I think this is the really butch-looking character model and not one of the ones with shoulder-length hair, and I've never seen that model on anything but NPCs. Which is really annoying. So yeah... {Help me out!}

Also, I should probably have volunteered that Byaina is an Elvaan female with silver/white hair (I dunno which they ask for) that's all slicked back from her forehead. I have no idea what the specific description they give for this character model is.

Oh thank god.

Mithra, chestnut hair with a red hairband. I think that was the description. I'll have to check again later.

Hume Female with brown hair almost covering her eyebrows with a short ponytail. I have noooooooo friggin idea, I've met two Hume females that I thought met the description, but Halver wasn't having any of it, so whatever. This quest has been rotting on my log for months now. I'm about ready to tell Halver to shove it.

I'm looking for an ELvaan female with black pinned up briaded hair.

Yes I probably got the rarest Elvaan female possible, but if you happen to fit that description, feel free to respond or /tell Jordan.

It's fun quest to do (I was the chosen for some other guy's quest and it's a funny cut scene, especially since I'm a blue haired ponytailed taru) and you get a ring afterwards!

I haven't done this quest yet, but if anyone ever needs a female tarutaru with green pigtails (not pulled back behind the ears, but pigtails ^^) send me a /tell or let me know ^^ I've been told in the past that my type is needed a lot, so.. here I am. ^^

What does the reward of the quest do any ways Bya? Seems like it's just an ordinary ring with no stats?

I finished the quest with Rayzer, nice Japanese player helped me.

To help you guys out, Zyrene is a Elvaan read head, with a single braid on the left.

If you need someone to help, give me a tell.

As far as I know, the only real benefit to doing the quest, other than fame and comic relief, is that you can do a ghetto wedding ceremony. The rings can be desynthed with a wind crystal to remove the rare/ex and resynthed with a cyclone crystal to put the name of the crafter on the item. If you have a couple of goldsmithers do this together, they can in the end exchange rings with each other's names on them. Like I said, ghetto wedding. ;)

Yeah I have tried to avoid this quest at all costs! It is far too annoying. But if you ever need a hume Female with blond hair in a pony tail to the back then be sure to let me know. My character design is very common but hey I figured I would offer my help to you guys in case.

If I might make a suggestion -

If you finish the quest, please go back and edit your post to remove the text, so that we know who has a completion and who still needs it done.

If you're suggesting/offering, then leave that up, of course. :)

I haven't gotten this quest yet, but if anyone needs a Mithra with brown hair, that's me. It's pulled back in a low ponytail at the back of my head. I wish I knew the exact description he would give of my character, but that's the best I can do. Oh here is a pic of my character if that helps:

Sorsha, if your avatar is a pic of you IRL, have you noticed the similarities between that pic and your Mithra? Creepy...

No, it's actually a picture of an Indian actress named Kajol.

Well, while the Price may be into other species, he only plays for one team as it were. I can see why Sandy is messed up though. That city is just asking for trouble when the Prince wants a little ol' taru like me :)

Though If I were Trion, I'd beat the crap out of (Whatever his brother is called) for the <insert Shonen romantic comedy trope here>.

Hmmm. I might be convinced to create mules in San D'oria to help people finish the quest, if nobody can find a PC to do it with. Would that work for anyone?

I did this quest last night (well, helped a friend finish it). It's absolutely hilarious.

For those that have done it, I'll explain without spoilers (I hope). The 'other' woman that comes in, well, she's my exact same model.

If anyone is in need of a an elvaan female with red hair that lays normally (best description I can think of), send me a tell and I'll help out if I have time.

If it wouldn;t trouble yuou greatly... I can pay you in food ^_^

As I said in my earlier post. I think I picked one of the rarest elvaan female models (as if elvaan females weren't rare to begin with)

I'll be on pretty much all day today (celebrating the end of my first grad school paper)

I actually tried that. Using mules unfortunately doesn't work because the character needs to have access to the Chateau, which even San d'Orians' can't get until they've started the dragon mission for Rank 3, I believe.
