I am looking to do this, as is my whole LS (redemption). Our times and availibility vary, but I can give you when I am availible. Weekdays from ~3:30 PST until ~11:00 PST, Friday after 3:30, anytime saturday that I am awake, and all day sunday until ~10:00. The members of redemption have been trying to get a few together, and have gone twice I think, but haven't finished either time. I can buy gear for 30WAR/NIN or 30NIN/WAR. I can also make up to hi-potions and hi-ethers, as well as things like holy water for below AH prices. So send me a /tell in game if you need my help, I can probably get more than myself if it is needed, too.
Friday at 5 {Yes, please.} Any preference on what job I bring? I just bought the Eisen set for my war but since it's only war/pld I can't use it for sam... I'll need to know before Friday if I need to scrape money together to buy level 30 eq for sam.
I did the Holla one last night!! It took us 5 hours!! Argh!
It's amazing fun though if you go in a good group, I'd me more than happy to come along and my WHM friend can come too.
(We had an alliance of 2 parties and everything went really well and smoothly until our WHM d/c'd ; ;)

OK so I guess our confirmed date is Friday, October 8, at 5:00PM EST. Assuming we don't have maintenance. >_>

I dont get home from work until 6 PM EST and I wont be ready to play until about 7PM (since i'd like to get dinner out of the way so I dont need to go AFK.)

The eisen set is great. Depending upon what Byaina subs she could potentially fill out several roles. If she wanted to go sam for damage dealing a war/thf with great axe would be close enough, plus she could do some tanking too.
Regardless the amrmor she's talking about is excellent, I'm wearing the stuff. I'll even keep some peices past lvl 40 (the +1 stuff).
I'm super excited to do this. Unless something unforseen happens, I'll be ready to go on Friday. I plan on getting all the running around business out of the way tonight. Thanks for letting me be part of this! =D

Actually, I'll be subbing RNG. I'ma use the gil from a recent BCNM to buy me a Great Bow +1(Yeah, I'm almost 40 and still using a crap Power Bow +1. I've been subbing WAR since 30. <.<), so I'll be like a mini-RNG for the BC. :D
For the Dem Burning Circle our Sam subbed ninja and when the mob released the two spawns, the sam basically blink and solo one while the rest of the group take out the other and the tank kept kiting the main mob. The rest of the time the sam would used ranged attack on the main mob along with ranger, blmg, etc while the tank kite the main mob.
Note, the strategy will be different in other Prom when mob have AOE and such.
I do normally sub war with Sam but I could do war/thf too. Why don't we see what else people come up with and I'll decide then what's needed? Though with a bunch of sams, we'll be in SC heaven... :D
OK so we're looking to meet between 5:00 and 6:00 then. How about we make any final decisions and fine tuning when we're all together? I'm getting a lot of Tells from people, but I just don't know all the specifics yet, and this is my first Promyvion in a party so I'm not going to have all the answers. If we're all together we can make suggestions.

I did Holla last night. The ride up was smooth, but my party wiped at the boss. At least one other party failed in our alliance too. It was pretty fun and now I have a good idea what is going on, for holla at least.
For the boss fight we will need:
poison potions
holy water
eye drops
melon juice or yugado drinks.
<insert meele food here>
We had war, war , thf(me), blm, blm whm
we got it down to 30% or so, and ran out of MP.
I started missing like crazy with my crossbow when I got blinded, I needed eye drops badly.
I had 2 poision potions and 2 holy waters. This was not enough.(poison potions for sleep, holy water for curse)
With full ranged accuracy gear as a thief, I was hitting maybe 80% of the time for around 50 damage a pop. Rangers can hit for even more. High sustaned damage is the key here. I am not sure how much damage the warriors were putting out, but the black mages ran out of MP fast with blasting and curing.
There is something called anemia or something that can debuff the boss. Supposedly you take a dropped item, which I didn't see and bring it to the guy staring at the painting behind the palace in Jeuno. I have heard they help a lot, but we didn't use any.
I am going to try to get a couple friends to come also. A full alliance makes the journey up much easier.
I'll post some more info in a bit.

Each recollection of ___ is rare/ex and is used to throw at certain boss after turning it into anemia (sp?).
they cause a status effect like fright or paralyzed or other status depend on the type of anemia if you hit the boss with it or not and lasts around 20-30 sec.

1) RNG are the best thing to take into the BC fight. (EES and Barrage own you.)
2) You need to make sure everyone can get the best gear and all the items you need. (This is not a poor man's event!)
3) You need proper party set-ups for it to go smoothly. PLD = no thanks. WAR/NIN = yes, please. You need 2 WAR/NIN for the BC fight in my experience (I've done all three and won.)
4) You either need an alliance or 7 people. The strategy at the MRs (Memory Receptacles) is to have the RNG and BLM focus on killing the MR and have the melee pull the strays. FOR THIS, RNG MUST SUB NIN! I cannot stress that enough. You can do it with 7 if you get a THF of PLD willing to run around the MR on the 3rd floor collecting the Strays and in the processs dying so no one gets hit as they warp to the 4th floor. (They'll have to 2hr to not die instantly, as well. Make sure they understand their role, and for the love of god, pay them if they do this for you!)
I'll be happy to go if my brother or one of my LS mates (IturAdAstra or Redemption) goes. I know exactly how this thing goes down, I've been there a few times.
All that being said; there is one ideal party for the BC fight. It is as follows: RNG RNG RNG WAR/NIN WAR/NIN WHM

Go SAM/NIN if you can, if not, SAM/THF or whaver you had planned until we get everyone together.

Well take it easy I won't be on til about 6 myself, so everyone just gather together between 5-6 and go ahead and form the parties if everyone's there. Let's try to balance as best we can.

RNG
BLM
SMN
WHM
RDM
or anything that can nuke or range attack.
However, the hardest part is when you get to the BCNM on the 4th floor.
For this you will need a very balanced party.
Tank should either be a WAR/NIN or a PLD/WAR.
Make sure you bring Poison Potion, and holy water. The NM casts sleepga.
Your SAM is probably a good job to bring, you can fit the role of a DD, and since SAM has 2nd highest rating with a bow, you can still dish out the DMG on the way up.
We have completed Promivion Mea and Holla, both times half the party died during the BCNM.
Also, if you collect memories, and trade them to an NPC in Ru'Lude Gardens, he will synth them into items you can use to debuff the BCNM mob.
My best advice to you, make sure you bring a balanced party, it would suck to make it to the top just to be killed by the NM and have to do the whole thing over again.
