Let's say, if you want to do these Garrisons, meet Saturday at 9AM (PDT) at West Sarutabaruta's Outpost with your job and gear...

I said 9AM PDT because it's difficult to bring players from different GMT at the same time, 9AM PDT = about 6PM for EU players, so... and perhaps we could bring some JP players, but I don't think they would like to party with US/EU players...

Not really, we'll see what we'll have, and complete the alliance with what we need :) ...

"You can only start a Garrison if you're a citizen of the nation which controls the region in which you plan to play the Garrison battle."

aww man! u mean that red cryptex i've been saving up for a time like this is useless to me since i'm from bastok? say it ain't so!

i'm currently a 18PLD/9WAR and is interested in doing a garrison. if u have an empty spot open, and need to fill it up, make sure to send a tell to illyrio.

Beat the first time in a full alliance, pwned the second time in a ten-man group.

Some advice for anyone planning to do this: please, please, please, work out ahead of time who needs what and how you're going to lot on it. :/ Two of the people who got mannequin parts (three dropped) in the first round disbanded and left before we could agree that we were going to /random to see who should get them, so a few people that died and therefore couldn't lot kinda got screwed.

Seems to me that the most important part isn't organizing the actual fight so much as figuring out who gets the loot. But it's a learning experience I guess. ^^ At least it was fun when the buttkicking got started ^^ Thank you to everyone who showed up and Freyir for putting it together and being patient enough to sit around for four and a half hours to get going... oy!

Yeh that was my first Garrison. It was fun, but the loot distribution was poorly planned or maybe just poorly implemented. Oh well, there's always next time

ohhh that was YOUR garrison I just picked up off the ground. My sympathies to you and your group.

Better luck next time, and if I learn to pay closer attention, to the forums, I'll join you on one of them. O.~

I think some of us are probably sitting nervously in the wings waiting for other people to post... :/

I had a slight net loss of gil (1000 to teleport from Aragoneu to Windurst, plus Mithkabobs/Shihei, versus the 850 gil reward), I used my Garrison item, and I wasted some time I could've used leveling.

On the other hand, I got some skillups, and aside from the intense strife, I had a good time. I wish I had gotten something out of it, but those are the breaks... :/

I think we should redo it this WE, and now that we know how the treasure is pooled, it'll be much easier to distrivute the items. I think we should give the first items to the people who were there the first time and got nothing...
Anyway, It was very fun, and I'd like to do some again. So, just post here again if you're up for it ;) ...

Let's say, we could do it Saturday morning/Afternoon/evening/night (PDT), or Sunday Morning/Afternoon ...

What's about Saturday Afternoon, say, from 14h PDT for example ?

That'd probably work for me. I don't have weekend plans sorted out yet, but I'm open for it.

lol, I'm down with doing it again.... It was fun :P Took forever to get rolling though.. like 4 hours

Here were the problems with our Garrison on Saturday....

1) Me and Alerek sit in the same room and play btw, so he was watching my screen as well... I had to have seen at least 4-6 people standing... doing.... absolutely.... nothing.... like not even casting, or curing.... or attacking.... they were either in shock and couldnt react or they were uber lagged. Me and Al were like, "WTF these people need to do something." THE WHOLE TIME... not just a wave or two... like... nothing ok nothing. I was alittle lost on the melee people saying "I wish I could attack." was this because their weapons were too high of a level and they didn't buy a 20 one?

2) I agree the distribution was a little off key. The people who did nab some things disbanded immediatly. I can't say that I blame them since the idea came up after they got their item "/random everything." I got a pair of Mannequin Legs, but I stuck around to see what was going down.

I'd be happy to join in with my BLM or my RDM and I happen to have a Bastok garrison item sitting in the ol' MH. ^^

If my WHM were at 20 I'd say feel free to kill it but unfortunately you won't get that pleasure 'cause it's staying at 14. But if you need one let me know and I'll level my WHM someday ^^

That was me saying it, and it was because I got booted out of XI after the first wave because AIM screwed up and let a message through even though it was supposed to Hide All.

When I came back, I couldn't reapply the level cap, so there wasn't anything I could do with regards to the battle, even after I was reinvited. I went around killing things that aggroed due to -ga spells. :P

All my equipment was sub-21, so I was fine. I had a pair of Mokutos which I was using plenty to get Theologists to STFU. :D

I'm down with doing it again, and I'll help organize things too if you'd like, Freyir. This is your baby though and I'll let you take charge. :D
