i have never been big on camping NM's but i need a scorpion harness so i thought id go give argus a shot. i get down there and guess who i see, jerrys. well at the time i didnt know about the menu provoke trick but i was spaming a /targetnpc /ja "Provoke" macro.
after a few min a bat pops. cannot attack that target. your target is already claimed. Jerrys provoked it insanly fast. and then 30 seconds later he provoked it again. and again, before finally engaging and killing it.
i suppose it was a provoke bot. there was also a mage behind him i cant remember the exact spelling of the name so i wont post it cause i'd hate to list another persons name. but every time he got to about half hp the mage would stand up, cure him to full, and rest again. pretty sure it was a bot also. anyway so after about 30 min of him provoking every pop before me i leave.
i decided to stop by the auctionhouse and noticed that at the very top of the price history for peacock charm jerryac had sold 2 in a row. it just sucks so bad that these F*cks make it near impossible for us to camp argus which in my opinion is a hard way to make an easy living. and the worst thing is, he wasnt afk so i couldnt report him for botting. hed move around every now and then to readjust when the JP whm/bst would releas a pet in front of him just for a good laugh.
sorry i just felt like ranting about this, it is very dissapointing.

3 of my friends got put into jail for pulling mobs onto the jerrys. They didnt kill The jerry thought the mage behind them cured him. I think its horrible that all these bots just started to appear on the serrver. How does SE make money off Gil farmers?
that is exactly what i was doing. just ranting. i asked for no solution because i know there is none. square will not do anything about it unless you can prove them to be cheaters. and no i will not quit this game because of them and i will find a way around it. after level 65 when HNM hunts roll around i'll forget the jerry[X] even exist. except when im buying the peacock charm that he beat a lower level too because he cheated. thats the one good thing to look forward too, these gil farmers will never put forth the time or gil in gear to kill HNM's and we will no longer have to compete with them anymore.

Like I have said before, simply get about 15 of your buddies to camp Argus in that tiny a[/b]ss room at once. If Jerryac or Jerryt or Jerryx (seen them all in there at one time before) make money like we suspect they do, I assure you they have a gil quota.

Maybe im ranting? But the increase in bots have but me down in the dumps latley. My favorite hobby minning has now turned into a Thf's job. Ill just lvl some crafts cause i know they cant touch that.
i think we should line up 60 people up in 2 rows of 30 with kraken clubs and make the jerry[x] run the guantlet
I'm not sure Jerrys are botting at Argus, if they are, they really need to upgrade their PCs. I have no trouble beating them with my solid provoke macro and my eye on the radar. Of course, I never have enough time to actually wait for Argus to pop...but the couple times I have been there I had no problem beating them to the bats.
hmmm im not much of a NM camper, but you say you watch the radar. does the mob show up on radar before it shows up on the actual screen? and also the reason i think he was botting, hed provoke the same bat severaltimes before he ever even attacked it. im gonna go back today if im free from helping LS members and see if i can beat him without using a macro, just using the provoke menu.

If you guys known prettyboy and laguk you know they are the same person but once upon a time they did level with other people to get to 50 then stop. Well most of the time in parties prettyboy engages and laguk do healing duties, prettyboy do no renkei or tp report or anything. Whenever laguk rest is when prettyboy actually do something. So its probly that the whm jerry and the other jerry is controled by the same person, not necessarily a bot.

the whm healer wasnt a jerry, it was more like a rexxey or something like that. but i dont remember exactly how he spelled it.
