Let's not even begin to discuss how enraged I am with Optimum Online. I have gone two days without playing final fantasy 11. TWO DAYS?? This is horrible! I have a set party I am supposed to be meeting with and farming I should have been doing but yet I can't get passed the recieving friends list data part. This is utterly ridiculous. But it is good to know I am not the only one on the server having this problem. You should post in the main FFXI forum there is a thread with all the latest news about it. Apparently Optimum Online doesn't know what the problem is and don't see fixing it as a priority. If this isn't fixed it looks like Yekan will be gone forever.

Spoke to them 5 times so far, and they are talking to square enix about, good luck using translator. (Disconect server)(help me out)(Can I have it)!!!

I utterly hate Cablevision. It is my Birthday today! Damnit i wanted to go online and my LS members to tell me.. hey.. happy Bday and they were gonna send me new stuff and gear.. Damnit all to hell!!!! I just wanted to play my game and have a good time.. but no!!! i can't. I really.. really.. and i know this is a strong word but.. HATE!!!! CABLEVISION!!!! DAMN BASTARDS!

I've been cut off from FF for two days now as well...didn't realize there was plenty more fun stuff to do often during mid-day till now lol...but it still does suck, a lot.

It's horrible! People have been annoying Optimum Online and Square-Enix for the past two days and they are now saying that it is a top priority of theirs which is a change since this morning when they couldn't care less about us. Haha yes the T-shirt is rather amusing. The person who made it said he would change the number of days on the back as time goes on. So here we are on day 3 and still nothing has been done. I have been trying to figure out any way possible to get back on the game but since i have a PS2 my choices are limited /cry.

Yeah, I've just started getting back into playing my summoner, now I can't because of this Cablevision/Optimum Online crap!

It always seems to be something with this game. I don't really understand why I pay $12 per month to play a game I really can't play.

Sorry just venting!!

It's ok to rant, that is really all we can do at the moment. The problem isn't POL though, it is Optimum Online. So you shouldn't be upset with the game but rather our incompetant ISP.

Hello kiddies we are almost at the end of our rope, and this thread cant get any bigger. This is one of the biggest one I have seen here.

All I wanna say if you want to be heard than just spam optonline at this email address:

might not help us a lot but if they cant get any other email other than from us they might do something about it. As for me I might just switch to Verizon.

Yeah, I have been posting in that thread since this all has started, which is where I am getting all of my information, although not much is being released to us. I'm just hoping for a miracle and that all of this will be resolved soon.

Damn Arelios I was curious as to why I haven't seen you online in a minute, that sucks. Azeroth in my LS is having the same damn issues.

I would just organize a mass call-in. Pick a similar EST for everyone on this board to call your ISP at one time. The $8 an hour customer service reps will then actually have to work as opposed to browsing this year's Girl Scout Cookie pamphlet or reading Oprah.

Nothing is working at all. People have been complaining for three days and they still can't even say they are sure what the problem is. They state that they are working with POL about the error yet they won't give the public any information. Overall it is very upsetting. And I hate to admit this, but I am very close to just giving up on FFXI and retiring Yekan. What's the point if this won't be fixed for a long time?

I've been watching the main boards all day and there are ALOT of people who are having the same problem!! This is just ridiculous....

I called OO about an hour ago and they said that it was a high priority, but it supposedly has something to do with an update that SE made. They have techs working on it but they are not getting much help from SE {Figures}.

And unfortunately I don't have that great a chance at getting another ISP, there aren't too many around.

So I can tell you this much...fortunately I will be busy most of this weekend, if this problem is not fixed by Monday I will be deleting my accounts. I'm not a very tech saavy person, but to be paying for a service that seems to have alot of problems and forces me not to be able to play, that's where my common sense kicks in and tells me to get rid of it. As much as I love this game and love all the people here, it's really just not worth this much headache and hassle.

odd...I call POL and they blame it on Optimum. Then you call Optimum and they point the finger at SE...
someone just needs to admit they screwed up here and start working on fixing it -_-
I really don't mind taking a few days or even a week off from this game due to RL priorities, or just because...but when I'd really appreciate to have the option of playing and it's taken away entirely...well that just sucks.
This just gets more and more ridiculous.

Ok guys 4 months ago I was lvling DRG got to 54 and had little invites. Family crisis errupts, and I quit the game. And thought of cancelling subscription. Smoke clears and Im able to play again, so out of curiosity I try it out and you know what happens? Just look at my signature and you will know.

So please dont quit over this it will get resolved, and if not we protest cablevision, or get the news involved. Better yet reprt them to the BBB in your area. They wont like that much.

Please don't quit
