I know you all have seen that Elvaan Bazaar with a pumkin head on sitting under the tree in South Sandy. His Bazaar comment says something about Fueling the Mafia?! LoL, any have any clue on who this guy is and whos mule it is? I always wondered since the first day i seen him.
I actualy saw him move once!
He has been there since I bought the game.

i have never been lucky enough to have him buy anything from my bazaar .. but he has graced me with a "browsing of merchandise" and i think i actually saw him outside of S.Sandy .. Port maybe ??
BAck when I first started, I was invited to a linkshell called Taikobo. A few people made it in honour of him. I still have my pearl.
I think I bought some arrows off of him once, maybe. He's been there since I made my mule in Sandy...wayyyy back in last October/November.
that guy and taruevolution exist since before the dawn of time, or at least since Halloween since they both got pumpkin hats.
Speaking of Taruevolution, I've seen a sister mule in Jeuno named Mithraevolution.
There's also Galkaevolution. All have pumpkin heads, as far as I've seen.
I have never bought anything from Taikobo. I have seen him running around both N.Sandy and Port Sandy on occasion. He even cleared out my bazaar one day as I ran past.

I'm pretty sure I bought arrowheads from him once, but I remember running around South San d'Oria with a bunch of reasonably priced food in my bazaar (Meat, Fishkabobs, pies, juice) once. I check Taikobo and he checks me. I don't buy anything from him but he clears out my entire bazaar. o_O I of course /bow to him and send him a "{Thank you.}" tell.
I don't know... if the beastmen raid the towns and storm the castles, I'm sure Taikobo will still be there under that tree, doing whatever he's doing to the Chinese Mafia. ^^

I set up Bazaar on the opposite wall of his. Ive ben doing this for about 8 months now on my mule. Most of the time he /checks me and clears out my whole bazaar. Im sure he notices me. Has anyone tried to give him a Linkpearl while he is on the run? Ive see him moving at least 10 times. Next time im gonna make a linkpearl for him.
All I know is that last november I went to check out the "new FF game" that my cousin had gotten a few weeks prior. After he had shown me around Ronfaure & Ramps Tomb he took his character into town & yep there was Taikobo. I believe he has been there since the creation of Vana'diel.

I think Taikobo is Japanese, because he was there prior to the US release according to many japanese friends. Some people say that they have spoken to its other character, his main is actually taru. His master is a taru, how irronic. He is a taru's B**ch.

Today i looked where he was supposed to be...and he wasn't there. But sitting in that spot was an identical Elf by the name of Santu minus the pumpkin head of course. Could Taikobo's master decide to change his mule....? Of course, it could be a fluke ^^.

LOL i see him ALL the time. I've never seen him check me, or move like you guys say, BUT one time he was sitting down instead of kneeling and as i ran past i was like WTF!? I considered it a momentous occassion. Yes he might just be the original gil farmer, he has certainly made a name for himself. Also his [Bazaar] is always full of stuff. could it be that he has several characters and is always on just farming constantly to keep his [Bazaar] full. Also could it be that someone so established as him, has a mule in each city? check other cities out and let me know if u see similarities. :)

With the Halloween event featuring everyone and their wyverns wearing pumpkinheads, part of his mystique has faded. All the Elvaan males should unequip their gear, dawn their pumpkinheads and rest right next to him. He might not like that. XD
Naw, he wouldn't like that I suppose. Dont be mean to him, he has a certain "mysterious" aura around him... HE CAN KILL WITH A THOUGHT DONT TOUCH HIM!!! lol

He was actually /sh'ing for his bazaar quite a bit the night they started the halloween event. I did a /sh for him along the lines of "Let us pay tribute to Taikobo, the one that's had the halloween spirit all year!" Someone else noted he is still the original pumpkin head. Walked over and did various emotes to him, salute, praise etc... before I got one off though he clapped at me XD
