Hello Bismarck,
The past month a Mithra by the name of Lucun has been Minning Yughott Grotto almost every day. She is a Minning point theif, I dunno what her problem is she /waves to me all the time and /tells me Hello! But when she sees that i am on a Minning Point she takes it. So i started to take hers and she got mad at me for alittle while. Has anyone else seen her in the Grotto?

I nominated her and Doublening on the original bad players list.

Sad to hear she's still up to the same tricks >.<

Only thing she'd ever say to me is "I am a devil!!!"

Freakin' weirdo, I gave up mining because of her.

Personally I'd say its free for all to take any mining points. SE made the mining point that way on purpose so anyone can just follow up and take a whack at the same mining point, even when it is already occupied. If SE wants the mining point to be first come first serve, then they would've implement codes to prevent 2nd player to mine at the same point.

Personally I think its stupid. But if they designed it that way, you would be a sucker forfeiting another mining point that happens to spawn at the same point.

Try make a petition if this is really bothering you. Unfortunately I doubt there is enough pissed off miners to make SE listen.

She has made alot of minners to stop minning the Grotto. I agree if SE wanted it diffrent they could have. Its just odd how she gets mad when people steal her MP...

I'm not bothered enough to petition, not really conviced anything could be done about it.

Granted, the points are free for all but as soon as 2 people start mining it it seems like the number of times you can mine it drop drastically. Just a guess on that. I have a feeling that's why the courtesy started to go find your own points.

At any rate, if I ever see either of them in a PT I won't be joining it and I'm sure many others feel the same. I'm sure they're just gill sellers, so it won't really hurt them to not XP anymore, unless they decide to go to Gusgen.

Eh, I agree with the free for all thing.
What this person has done, by driving miners away, is take more and more of the market share.
With fewer miners, there will be fewer items up for sale, and more profit to be had by the budding entrepreneur.
All I can say is get over it.

Lucun, Doublening and Kingyan are obviously gil farmers and are their all the time. Steal from them because they will from you. Do not communicate with them and ignore them at all costs. They are a plague.

Gusgen mines has the same problem.

The gusgen gang, however, has been missing the past few days. Previously you could search gusgen mines 24/7 and find the names: Oneman, Honeyboy, Luckhero, Andea, Careerwoman, and Weeks there. If Careerwoman wasn't in the mines, she was in bastok markets. All taru except Weeks, their faithful galkan bodyguard. All will steal points. I had a heart attack when I walked into gusgen yesterday and Oneman and Honeyboy were gone. I don't know what has happened to them, but they weren't there. Maybe their gil company fired them. I hope so. The others were still there and still happy to steal points, however.

It frustrates me a lot, espcecially because they tend to undercut the ah. But oh well, such is life. I still mine.

Well, we've still got Kentgo in Palborough Mines, though every other miner I've seen in there seems to be at their keyboard and considerate. Never had any problems with anyone there other than Kentgo.

I also mine in Gusgen mines. Was there all last week trying to get the gil up for my ice and dark staves. Which I did manage by the way..yipieee!!

But the usual crew there is Oneman, Honeyboy, Careerwoman, Weeks and Luckhero.

The only three I have had trouble with was Honeyboy, Luckhero and Weeks. The incdent with Honeyboy was a misunderstanding and was ironed out..him and Oneman are a team. I don't know if they are gil farmers or what but they are both pretty friendly and don't steal points from me anymore after figuring things out.

However I do belive Luckhero is a gil farmer as he is there 24/7. Unlike Honeyboy and Oneman who actually seem to log off. If Luckhero isn't in the mines he is making a run to Bastock and comes right back. He is always there and steals points without a second thought. I have also seen him stealing from Careerwoman who I saw having a spirited emote battle with him and she told me she has problems with him all the time. I have never had a problem with Careerwoman. So I steal from Luckhero all the time in return..unrestricted mining warfare Smiley: grin

I used to heal Weeks as he would be farming mobs in the mines but then he started following me and stealing points also..he's on my same list at Luckhero now. No more heals from me and if he's next to a mining point it's as good as mine also. However he logs off on a routine basis also.

All of these players do not speak English as a first language and in the case of Luckhero..don't speak at all. You steal from me it's a free for all as far as I'm concered. I will not touch another miners point unless he gets on mine consistantly.

Oneman and Honeyboy have got to be the same exact person. When they're in Bastok together, watch them very closely and you'll see something strange (auto follow, all the time). Also notice how they very rarely seem to pass each other up in there.

Careerwoman speaks English, enough to shout at people in Bastok Markets to stop spamming about teleport requests.

Lucun is there almost 24/7. Sometimes mining, sometimes not. My guess it's someone who has two accounts who uses this one to mine while the other's off doing something else.

Mining bots? Gil sellers? Probably. But, no proof. Not that SE would do a thing about it anyway. Grin and bear it I guess....

careerwoman has stolen points from me. I was willing to give her a chance, not knowing if she was one of them, but then she stole too... she seems to go back and forth; as a high level whm it's pretty easy to do the running to and from gusgen. I noticed that honeyboy and oneman weren't in the mines again today, so i don't know what's happened to them. They did use to be in there 24/7; I never saw them leave. But the thing about them being the same person is interesting. They do stop at the same time, and honeyboy only checks a few points in a line while oneman drops down the hole and mines, then comes back up and around.

When there were so many of them in there I was screaming; I stuck to the first four points. Only careerwoman seems to go up there, and with all those people mining 24/7 they respawned pretty fast...

Yea Oneman and Honeyboy being the same person would make sense. The problem I had with them involved Honeyboy stealing a point from me. So I retaliated and as soon as I did Oneman started spamming party invites..I assume to Warp II me. Then he asked my why I stole a point from Honeyboy and I said it was becase he stole one from me. Oneman speaks in very broken english and it was a little difficult to understand him but I think we came to the agreement to not steal from each other anymore...after that I always get a wave now from either of them if they are in the mine.

For the record I have seen them both drop down the hole but Oneman does it more frequently.

As far as Careerwoman stealing points. So far she hasn't stolen from me but I will keep a wary eye on here from now on.

I had to go finish the Jubaku: Ichi quest last week and after I did so, I figured I'd spend some time waiting for Gotblut. I saw Lucun and Doublening running around, and just ignored them while I killed orcs.

Then Lucun started sending me /tells saying "What are you doing?". He/she sent me three tells over the span of ten minutes before I finally got tired of them bothering me that I just logged off. I never responded to Lucun.

I personally think that people shouldnt steal mining or logging points. If one player got to a point faster, it is unfair to that player that someone else can go and steal it. I think that it is very unfair, and usually in Ghelsba, people have the courtesy not to do that (Unless they are gil farmers).
If you disagree with me, and want to steal my points, then go ahead, i'll steal yours, but I wont steal points from people that have enough common courtesy not to steal.

This is interesting;

Yesteryday i minned for 8 hours in the Grotto. When i got into the Grotto i /waved to lucun and said Good Morning in Tells (If you cant beat them be friends with them). She responded back with hello!. For 3 hours me and her were /telling eachother when they got Gold and Darksteel and she was telling me stuff about how shes a girl and Chineese. I had to go to school for 2 hours and i told here I will brb i have to go to school. I didnt log out, i come back 2 hours laster and check my log and she was asking people if they were my friends and even if they said no she would say "She go to School". When i got back i told her i was back and she said Oh! Ya!. For 6 hours she didnt steal any of my minning points and was very nice to me. She told me she was full so she had to go back and i said bye. Lucun logged off for 1/2 hour and came back on, when i saw her on i /tell and said Hello! For the rest of the night she was stealing my minning points and wasnt saying a word to me. Now i understand, mutiple people use her account so she can mine 24/7 and just so happened that the person who used it yesterday afternoon spoke some english.

Mosh and I had this conversation in Yughott, and I can confirm that the behavior of Lucun/Doublening (probably the same person) is consistent with players swapping control. Sometimes they steal points ravenously and send mean /tells when you steal theirs; other times they'll respect your points.

In any case, a couple times stolen from me is too many. If it was even close (we get there at the same time...they get there a second after me), I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, assume it was lag, and wouldn't worry about it. But if I've already been there for some time, have swung my axe 5-6 times, then they run up and start whacking...I'm sorry, no lag is that bad. Now I steal their points whenever I get a chance. Anyone else, though: your points are your own and I won't even get near you when you're mining.
