Alright, know this is been done in states and instead of trying to get individual Provinces (HEY! ANYONE FROM Nova Scotia?......*silence*.....anyone?.....*tumble weed*......) so lets try it as a whole-country thing. I want to say hi to all Canadians on the site/server (your que to say hi back). I know I've met a few online already..one of my best game friends is from Ottawa himself. So wanted to know who else is a Hockey-crazed Beer drinking, 'eh'-speaking Canadian. I'm from the east coast myself (Halifax, NS! YEAH Nova Scotia!)

....Its gonna be a long winter without hockey.....

We've got 2 Canadians in our LS, but I won't single them out. I'm from Minnesota... that's close right? ;)

Once when I was walking through South San d'Oria various people were shouting about and insulting Canada -.-
Usually they just shout about burning down Bastok, but somehow Canada was the prime target that day. *filters shouts*

I live in Montreal right now, but grew up in NB. I love Atlantic Canada. Nova Scotia's great. We used to visit PEI all the time when we were kids. And a lot of my family is from Newfoundland so we go there every summer. Gorgeous place. ^_^b I remember swimming in the Atlantic Ocean when I was a kid. It'd be a little chilly at first, but once your body went numb you were fine. o_o A few times there would still be chunks of ice floating in the water that had broken from Ice Burgs that were still floating around in August from the previous winter. O_o And you will never find a place full of nicer people than in NFLD. XD

*is half-newfie* hehehe

"Canada?? Isnt that the big chunk of ice over the U.S.A.?"

"Do you all have basements or is the ground too frozen to dig one up? and hamburgers...what about hamburgers?"

"I never knew it got hot in Canada? Doesnt it snow all year there?"

These were some of the more uum..interesting things I've been asked about Canada from people in this game.
Ah the uneducated are always good for a laugh ;)

And yes, it will be soooooooo boring this winter without hockey, but in the event that somehow they do reach an agreement soon, I'd like to be the first to say...GO LEAFS GO!!!

(I'm in Toronto in case anyone doesnt know where the Leafs are o_0 )

<<<< from Montréal, Québec, home of the somptuous Poutine ( I hate poutine actually, so no worries, I'm not advocating it's consumption ^^° )

I'm not a huge beer fan either, but we do have some of the best though, not some carbonated water 4% proof, like Miller's or Bud's :stare at those poor americans:

Also, I would kindda glad if there's no hockey this winter; would mean the owners are standing by their convictions and not caving in. Go salary cap! Go <insert hardest-hitting team for the current year ( last year was Nashville for me ^^ ) >!

Oh gawd... =_= My Dad is a HUGE Leafs fan. I will forever hate Hockey because of him. *lol* My sister's boyfriend even bought him a cardboard Wayne Gretsky to stand happily in the Garage. It freaks my mom out when she goes in there at night because she thinks it's a real guy. X'''D

ha, well, i have to say I'm a huge Montreal Canadians fan...back up to in the Patrick Roy days (i'm still upset about the game when they left him in for 9! goals....). i agree with the strike thought. Players are getting too greedy. The people that i feel the worst for are the employees of the teams/arenas who got laid off because of this strike.
Oh yes, American beer (if you can call it that) does suck.
BTW Avitue, I was born in NB. I'm also Acadian french. I need the altantic ocean...must be the smell or something..keeps bringing me back.

Vim, you just had to drag all these damn Canucks outta the woodwork DIDN'T YOU!

Seriously, I love Canada (for fishing, gambling and strippers, of course...is there anything else there?), but it seems all ya'll Canucks aren't too fond of the good Ol' US of A. What's up with that? Just curious.

(Figured I would ask here amongst sensible adults. Anytime Canada is mentioned in the Main Forum it ends up in a flame war for some reason).

I think most of us don't like being treated as some extension of the USofA most of the time, thus, we end up bashing you guys to make sure no one confuses us with you ^^°. Some sort of ego complex I would say.

Ahh, well that makes sense. Yeah, I guess the "extension" is kinda correct (the view of it, not that it should be viewed that way). I recall in college I was talking to some girl I met in college who lived in Canada during the summer. It never crossed my mind that Canada was a different country, therefore international phone rates applied. I was made well aware when my bill was over $1,000!

I love the states personally, I've been a lot of times, but I have to agree with Baron on how we are treated (generalized of course) like the weaker younger sister of the big bad U.S of A. When we only have beer and hockey that's better (ya, there are probably more things, but these are the things that matter to me :)), we have to resort to sibling-type insults to try to make ourselves look more important.

/goes back to drinking his Alexander Keith's and watching Old NHL highlights

You didn't know Canada was another country? O_o *smacks you* I still think Alaska should be a part of Canada. >_> You Americans aren't allowed to have any of our snow! *lmao*

I really don't know much about the US. 6(-_-) I'm geographically retarded. XD My bestfriend Raven lives in Michigan and when she visits I feel ashamed driving around in a jeep with a US licence plate. *rofl* We constantly make dumb Canada/USA jokes at each other. It's just kind of a thing now for the US to pick on Canada and vice-versa. Not really sure why...

I KNEW it was a different country, it just didn't cross my mind (I think it is because I see both countries as equals, with the exception of military might, financial, status, places, faces, hot chicks...the list goes on) Kidding! And if you guys want Michigan we would be more than glad to let you have it, but not Alaska!

LOL ok. X''D *shuffles* You sure we can't have Alaska though? ; ;

I am personally about one hour from the canadian border. I've been there quite a few times(specifically Winnipeg), and i find that most people there are agreeable, but not all that friendly. They always seemed to know i was American and i sense a lot of animosity from some people there. I also work in a retail store back at home so we get buses of canadians all the time. For some reason, they all like to open the boxes and examine all the contents...despite the fact that we have rather nice displays set up. (>_<)

On a lighter note tho, i find that most Canadians that aren't from the winnipeg area are rather friendly. I have worked with native canadians on several occasions, and they always seem to be nice!

BTW, i get alot of that same stuff too about living in the stone age and such. Oh no, someone cut the water bucket off the town well! Guess its time for a swim...

Well it's nice to see so many Canadians here. I'm from Ottawa which is a great place, except it gets too cold. However I'll always prefer Toronto.

Go Leafs!!

I go to Windsor every now and then. I live in Michigan, about 2 hours west of Detroit in a city called Battle Creek. It's strange how I can walk around downtown Windsor completely hammered and not have to worry about getting shot or mugged.
