English speakers useless?Follow

Just a thought on farming, I'm a 62 MNK/WAR or MNK/THF, and I have quite a lot of expensive armor.

How did I do most of it?

Fishing.

Head to La Theine Plateau. In the SE corner there are two small ponds, head to the one down the cliff.

First, you will need about a level 12 fishing, but you can get that here.

Fishing for the first 12 levels is very hard, but it's worth it.

In Southern San'd Oria, Lusane will sell you little worms for 4 gil a piece, 3 gil if you have max fame.

Buy a Comp Fishing rod (If you can afford one, if not buy a cheep one at first, but dont be surprised when Dark Bass snap it)

In La Theine, you will fish up

Dark Bass = 1K a stack, sells very fast
Crayfish = Sells between 500 and 700 gil a stack, pretty fast
Moat Carp = 4K a stack, sells instantly
Rusty Caps = 2K a piece at AH, sells pretty quick
And Rusty Buckets. Sells instantly for 50 gil to Lusane, but I usualy chuck.

You can level fishing here all the way to 32 because of Dark Bass.

Also, a Water elemental spawns here every time it rains, if you have a level 35-40 job, you can kill it and sell it's clusters. usualy 400 gil a piece.

On the way back to San'd Oria I always walk.

On the way, see if you can find a Ram to kill for Horn and Skins

Horn = 1,000 to 1,200 gil
Skins = 500 gil

both sell very fast.

Also, in West Ronfaure, p[*** through where Jaggedy-Eared Jack spawns.

Yes, two different times I claimed him just passing through, and YES I have goten a rabbit charm =) 400K

I bought lots of equipmment doing this.

I did Home Work at the same time, and when I get bored of fishing I shake things up.

I camp NM, I farm (With MNK farming is very easy) but more often, when I NM camp, I lose money, because if I had spent the time fishing, I could have made a lot of gil.

On a good day, good moon phaze, I can catch 80-100K worth of fish and items in La Theine Plateau.

Hope this helps, and there is realy no excuse for gimping your character, chances are, if you do it in the game, you are a lazy person in the real world.

Disclaimer: Everyone is intitled to play the game in a manner that is fun to them, if farming fishing crafting NM is not your idea of fun, thats fine with me, but I also have the choice of inviting who I want when I want, and will always pick the WHM with Erase, or the RDM with Dispel, or the NIN with Utsusemi, wouldn't you?
