I'm finally back from an extended ten-day vacation of sorts, so I'll be around to distribute pearls and sacks liberally. Shoot me a /tell.
wow that was fun!
It was Demoncide, Naeo, Ikika, Ingrid, Gamion, Malikite, Majestica, and Silong. We ran from Bastok >> Jeuno >> Mhaura.
1st prize: Martial slacks
2nd prize: Choco boots + 3k
3rd Prize: 3k
First death goes to Ikika ( srry lol, i think i was closest to you hehe).
Made it all the way to highlands and no deaths.. until i ran round a quadav and looked like Ikika ran right thru it /sigh.
Silong bit the dust rigth at highlands/marshes zone as he aggro from one of those evil weapon thingies (dont remember the name).
We all did fairly well in marshes (considering it was nite time)
Demoncide took the shortcut and made it past the marlboro (surprisingly) he was in lead with Malikite in 2nd and in 3rd was Majestica.
I bit the dust almost at the outpost wen a gob turned on me (I came as BST in hopes i could charm as a weak last attempt.... sadly it doesnt exactly work like u plan as a lvl 1).
By the time i got back to marshes (and took Demon's shortcut and succeeded also ^^) almost everyone.
Maj had also died sumwhere along the way and we both left Basty at about the same time.
Maj ran thru jeuno, and I skipped it (big risk on my part as i didnt set my HP there).
Rest of the race was kinda boring (wern't as many mobs as i usually see which was strangely unnerving).
Final Results:
1st: Malikite
2nd: Naeo
3rd: Majestica

I dropped my pearl on accident, i was cleaning up MH. Ill get another pearl, you planning on doing another?
I'm really glad to hear of the Moronathon renaissance. b(^.^)d I'll be online tonight (probably) and I'll probably be hanging out between Carpenter's Landing and NSandy leveling woodworking, so I'll be easy to find for those who want pearls.

I'll be on tonight (travelling at Thanksgiving + dialup internet = no FFXI) too, pearlsack in hand, most likely camping Spipi in Sarutabaruta/farming silk threads. ^^ I wish I could've been there last weekend!
I was glad of the turnout based on the fact that the only participants who knew of it before Sunday were Naeo, Gamion, and me. =)
Next race is Sunday, December(Yay December! ^^) 5th at 2:30 EST.
I believe the route is Sandy->Bastok->Rabao. So if you don't know the way, I suggest you learn! >=D Pick up a map, too. It helps immensely. =P
Hopefully more the committee shows up this week. I know last week's was rather short notice combined with a fast moving board, so I don't blame yas, but still. ^^;

The new Tribune was released today, and it has a Personals Board. Someone who's good with catchy phrases and such (i.e. Not me) should post an ad in there. <.<

how do you get to that tribune board? i went to the FFXI site and couldnt find it... even under the Tribune section its not there for me?

Just submitted an ad for the tribune personals. :) NOw let's see if I have better luck with this lottery than I did the four times I tried the wedding lottery...
Ahhh crap I was planning on going last weekend >.< I have a horrible memory.
I really want to do one of these again, It's been way too long. If I remember I'll try to get to the next one, but if I forget to come, give me a /tell, I would most likely be more than happy to come on out... I could probably get a few people from StercusApperuit (formerly UnchainedSpirits) to come as well.

LMAO Actually I didn't even know anyone had scheduled another one. I just figured i'd throw it up here so another weekend wouldn't go by without a moronathon. ;P

I'm going to say tentatively that there will be no Moronathon this week, since we're having our Secret Santa party at about the same time that we'd normally have the Moronathon. And the following week being Christmas I doubt there will be one then either. :X Look for it to return after the New Year.
