(Hmmm.) I'm in Hotuken Knights. Lessee... What to say..
Basically, we have usually around an estimated 10-15 people on most nights, sometimes lots more. We help each other, and stuff like that. Idiots tend to be promptly booted. ^^ Most of our regulars are rank 5, with main jobs 30+. We seem to have recently gotten a lot more new members, most of which tend to be rank 5 and level 50. Genkai 1 was like, the "main event" for the past week. O.o
Most people tend to be biased against Elvaans. XD

We've got a very small linkshell (Requiem) that consists of me (Akayel), my gf (Avitue), two of my college buddies/co-workers (Reyne and Zavick) and another friend (Pookiesnookums or something like that lol). The LS is more for looks than anything, as we all use Ventrilo for communication.

Awesome ls, at night (for me) most of the american players are on and we have in excess of 30 players usually. We do garrisons and help each other out. If a lower level needs pwlvling or if any1 needs help with crafting, quests/missions or anything in the game we always endeavour to help. Anyway, every was a stranger when i joined, but now we're all great friends.

HotukenKnights has been around since like... a month after the NA release. Me and Celestia formed the LS for us and our friends from other online games that we knew would be coming to FFXI eventually.
We've grown alot in a short period of time. Most of our players came after the PS2 release. Average LS level is around 45 I'd say now. As many have said, if nothing else we are one of the most fun LS's they've ever seen. We help each other out and have lotsa laughs and good times.

A linkshell created one night when I was still a newb (wait, I still am? CURSES! Foiled again! >.<) in my college dorm room when my brother had come to stay with me. We originally wanted a way to communicate in-game, but then I started handing out pearls, and...well...Timbuktu got a bit bigger. We amount to about 20-35ish players from low (8ish) to somewhat high (Ishido, my brother, is 43 NIN/WAR congrats on that ding tonight btw). There no real objective behind the linkshell, mainly just to keep us all entertained and to help eachother out. Members are as follows.

Yesterday morning, Invictus revived me in Yuhtunga. As he did, I noted that it was his fifth Raise for me, the other four all in Tahrongi a month ago (one occasion with Yahira, too!). I sort of joked that he was my role model, and he replied with, "I happen to be many people's role models, I have a Linkshell named after me." (Not an exact quote)
I questioned him further. He told me he saved a random PT in Palborough once. A member of the PT said, "You... I've heard about you, and now I finally meet you." Invictus checks out the guy and sees he's in a Linkshell named after him.
(To clear any possible confusion, Invictus is not in the "Invictus" Linkshell.)
I ended the conversation with Invictus so he could focus on his LS buddies. I sort of put the thought aside, thinking he might have been joking.

If you ask me, it's more than the free Raises he gives that inspires people. It's also the trademark "FOR THE EMPEROR!!!" and /salute that goes with it. Sort of reminds me of Imakoo, who gives a Red Rose to each person who he Raises. May these two men inspire everyone... to not only Raise for free, but to have some memorable twist to go with it ^^

The LS that I was previously in (TheGrandCouncil) reorganized into CloisterofWarriors. I noticed a certain V.I.P. or two missing in Cloister, so I'm guessing that's their motive for the change. Of course, I won't dare ask... seeing that I'm just a peon in the LS.
I still feel sort of disconnected with them... I only feel connected to the other newbies in the LS, all around the same level and rank as I. My friend and I have decided to form our own Linkshell, dedicated to newbies like us so we can help each other out. Of course, our LS will focus on charity, Ballista, and just having a good time while ******** around. I haven't bought the sack yet, but I don't intend to until I've got a strong number willing to join an experimental LS. Be on the lookout, friends... maybe, just maybe... we'll be a big hit someday : )

I'm from Lunarians which is the top NA HNM LS. IRON and ArchDominius (sp) are starting to catch up. The LS has currently defeated Kirin, King Behemoth, Fafnir, Nidhogg, and many more alaready. Not to mention that Dynamis raids are done several times a week. The LS is currently attempting to beat Dynamis-Xarcabard.
