Regardless if Bran asked an honest question or not, the reply was completely uncalled for. Branwen has been nothing but a helpful and cheerful poster on an otherwise dead message board. Only to be slapped around in words for not having the wherewithal to know every little thing happening on Alla. I didn't know there was a wiki being built here, either, and might have asked the same question if I cared to use a wiki.

Using a 'yes' or 'no' would have halted any abject ignorance and saved ImperialNinja the stress.

In all honesty, I'm a bit confused about this whole wiki stuff myself. And it's not exactly like I'm a stranger here. One day everything was as usual and suddenly there's a new forum and people are going wikinsane about stuff everywhere.

The thread linked seems like a big misunderstanding, though.

I don't disagree that IN was overly strong in his comments. It would have been easier to just say no, that's not our wiki, this is, and be done with it.

However, despite what people say about tone not being transferred through the written word, especially on a message board. I believe that it can be, and is. In this case, Branwen did ask a simple question, but with a negative tone. The Hmmmm... at the end alone was enough for me to find it that way. From there, it seemed no longer an honest question, as a sarcastic, rhetorical one. Further, had she taken two minutes to actually read the OP through, it would have been quite obvious that it was an Allakhazam wiki, as in here (based on links to this site alone), and the question would not have needed to be asked.

Apologies to Branwen if she took offence to what I wrote.

It wasn't my intention to offend anyone, I may have come across as harsh to some because of the particular topic and the time I was posting.

I guess everyone has a different interpretation, but the way I read Branwen's first comment was that she was accusing Alla of being a part of that crap. Seemed to be a pretty rude and ignorant comment to me.

I can't see the whole thread but intentionally making drama like that is never a good thing. We all make mistakes however and I don't presume to know who Branwen is.

Admins are people too and not above getting pissed off. Sometimes it's just the wrong thing that causes it.

I think it's the lack of accent in your writing.
