What do I do if I have a problem with someone's avatar?Follow
Lately, while browsing through the FFXI General Form, I've seen a couple of avatars that are borderline obscene -- stuff I wouldn't want my wife or kids to see. Is there anything I can do about it other than disabling all avatars on this site?

I use a firefox extension called adblock to remove any avatars I don't feel are appropriate for my workplace. I believe the rule is, if it's more risqué than PG-13, the admins will remove it.
Usually if you send a message to an admin they'll look at it and either ask the person to remove it if it's really inappropriate or... I don't know tell you to disable the avatars if it's not.
As Belkira said, shoot one of the admins an email with the user name in question and we'll take a look at it.
Or if you don't want to deal with the avatars at all you can just hit "Hide Images" at the top.

Use the "Hide Images" feature.
Why do I get the feeling Usagi's avatard is one of the ones he finds offensive?

Apparently not. I was told there was nothing wrong with the avatar, and that I would simply have to use the Hide Images feature on the site.
I guess I won't be able to rely on avatars to identify posters anymore.
Edit: I just noticed the thread has been Defaulted. I guess some one took offense to me being offended?

Rate-Camp the offending party until they're sub-default and then set your filter to Default. That should fix it.
