Man, I still can't believe that someone decided to point out something that happened two years ago in someone's private journal and they didn't get laughed at for it. I can understand if the posts were deleted to clear up the database, but that obviously didn't happen.

I salute you OP caring so much about post count that you'd go fishing through other people's journals. I see a Bud Light radio commercial in your future.

I sent a message to Kao and then forgot about it. If you check the time stamp on the message and compare to the date I actually checked his journal through the first link in this thread. Occasionally when I see the User's Journal link at the top (look next to my post time stamp) next to someones name, I'll go in and drop my name. After clicking said link in thread I posted I recognized his avatar and decided to point it out once again.

You have a problem with that? GFY. If I did the same thing, I'd expect someone to point it out.

Ahh, the good old "GFY" because you really have nothing good to say. The fact still remains is that the ONLY reason you brought it up is because you care about post counts. I can see a very legitimate reason to get rid of the posts entirely, but you were satisfied to see his post count reduced to 1 even if the posts still remain in the database.

You care about post counts, and that's hillarious to me. It's a good thing you showed up to "correct the dog's behavior" when it was very apparent that it didn't need to be corrected. He hadn't repeated any such act in over 2 years.

Though, through all logic and reason, you do have almost 1,800 more posts than I do, so I'm sure that makes you superior to me, and thus, right about whatever this can be called.

Post spamming is wrong. it is cheating. There is no statue of limitations on cheating. It may take us a while to discover it, but when we do it will be dealt with.

If you have a problem with that, don't cheat. End of story. 2 days or 2 years ago, it was still wrong.

I've "cheated" before and I was punished for it as well. Something worse than increasing my post count and got a far lighter punishment. While we're on the topic, though; could you please take a break from protecting sock puppet's anonymity and locking legitimate threads that make this site fun to use to tell me how a normal user would be able to find these "rules"? You could link them, but I couldn't easily find them myself. I even went to the new account creation and all you do is type in a name and e-mail address. No ToS link or anything.

The only cheating I truly see is that a Premium User is being punished for doing exactly what was suggested of him in order to sell said Premium membership.

The fact that what they were doing in the journal had zero effect on anything other than their post count, I would say it's reasonable to let them spend their time how they want.

Gee if we're going to point fingers, yes I care about postcount. Then again, you care about some useless in-game FFXI character. Also, the something worse is a rate sock I'm guessing? Gee never did that. I guess you care about karma a lot eh? I must have missed the part where I asked for him to be banned or sub-defaulted.

If you see someone cheating in class or taking steroids before the meet, what would you do? Anyways, what do you even care? Are you mad 'cause someone like me got your rate sock caught up?

Unlike other sites where post count means little, people take karma and post count here very seriously. There are people that have been posting for more than six years. If you don't like it, you can always go to KI right?

Wow, 2 ratebots? and all they did was norate you? Geez. If I had caught that one instead of whoever norated you, you would be sporting a sub 3.00 karma at the moment. You got off light. Since it was another admin who administered the norate, I won't overrule them.
teh thingy you quoted wrote:

3,000 plus post spam is not reasonable.

And yet I still see no rules. I don't even know if I'm breaking one by talking to an admin. Or posting in this forum without having an actual problem. I guess I'm ok on that front, since the OP didn't have a real problem other than a number (one that has no bearing on the filtering aspects of the site) was taking up too much space next to someone's name.

Most of them are here:
https://secure.allakhazam.com/Premium_Terms_and_Conditions.html

The rest of them are somewhat informal. Don't spam. Don't ratebot. Don't karma camp. We figure that most people are smart enoguh to figure that out.

Heh, I was annoyed at first but its honestly no big deal to me now guys. (That being the supportive people who I do appreciate)

3 bored people played 1980 track and feild on the post reply button for like 1 hour about 2 years ago. I got bored and moved on to regular forum use, posting on the site daily, often offering advice to fellow gamers.

Much later a pathetic forum poster who validates his self worth on how much time he wastes posting on an internet forum gets my post count reset because he/she/it is jealous of my Karma ect. You the man Paskil.

I was annoyed by the unprofessional way in which this was handled by Kao. As a paying customer for a service you should have PMed me to let me know I had violated a forum policy with the use of my private journal and what the appropriate action that would be taken against me would result in. Instead I had to come on and track down the mystery. Great service there.

The good news is now I can use my WoW name since I don't really play FFXI anymore. Also because I don't care about post count or Karma I wont have to worry about Paskil types drooling over my e-peen.

So it's a win win. Carry on with whatever it is you do.

RIP Shogen. Please close that account, premium has already been cancelled.

I gave you just as much warning as you gave us that you were spamming. You almost didn't get to come back at all.

Oh and lol at you rating Shojindo up.

Showing your mighty powers of observation off again, maybe one of the kind posters will explain things to you if you PM them. Hopefully in a simple way that you can understand.

I'll go ahead and help you out on this one: Duh.

Any of the other uninformed masses want to chime in now or are we done yet? I'm enjoying this so chime in if you want to say something stupid because that would be swell.

Paskil, I give this drama instigation a 7 of 10. It would have been higher if Shogen/Shoji had really freaked out, and started flying of the handle. But sadly, his responses have been rather tame.

All in all, NixNot approves. Smiley: laugh
