I log in this morning to read his post, his mnk guide! which was somewhat funny, but seems strange that everyone who posted against it was rated down to default (we fixed that though)

Case by case basis, and really depends on the level of annoyance they present. Occasionally DSL modems like that one are shared by roommates /spouses / siblings. In that case though I think it was annoying enough to put the mute on.
