instructions for mass ratebot pwnage:
Add 1 Danalog, 1 kao, 1 measure of free time
Then add a Select all posters meeting suspected ratebot criteria #1
Make it a list, check it all twice, and script it all up with an excel formulae that's nice
Ratebotsmiter's coming to town!
For criteria #1, a list of 209 possible ratebots was generated. of those, 60 ended up being verified honest to goodness ratebots. There were sneaky ones, blatent ones, silly ones, and annoying ones from people who should probably know better by now.
In the end, there can be only none!
Final statistics:
60 ratebots. 6 of those were multibots belonging to two seperate accounts. 2 OOT bot, 2 Asylum bots, I "think" 15 WoW bots (some of those may be FFXI or WOW, lost count), the rest were FFXI or "miscelaneous forums". Now they are all a mass pile of binary carnage and server goo. (server goo being a technical term of course.) Main accounts were "adjusted" where necessary.
Criteria 2 is running now. we expect to have more targets shortly. Expect a great disturbance in the force, since this pool is even bigger than the last. Moral of the story folks? Don't make ratebots. It may take a while but we catch them in the end!
