Uploading pics?Follow

I'm having trouble uploading pictures. Whenever I try, it says, "Sorry, only jpeg, gif, and png files are allowed." I have tried .jpg and .gif files only, so I'm not sure what the problem is... Is it a user error?

I don't have premium (obviously) so I don't know how much help I can be but... is there a size limit (file size not actual image size) on what you can upload? If so maybe the image is larger than that particular limit? Not sure though... I've seen people with some pretty detailed animated avatars so that may not even be the case.

Hmm... also wondering, what program did you use to make your avatar? Or did you download it from somewhere?

Every now and then I've run across problems where I'd have an image saved as .extension, but trying to open it in certain programs (like a web browser) would give me an error similar to yours.

While waiting for Kaolian to take a look at it, you might try opening it in a different image editing program (MS Paint works just fine if it's not animated) and resaving it, making sure you type in the .extension (AND choosing the same .extension from the drop-down menu... I've found before that only doing one and not the other can cause problems, but doing both has never hurt before). Try uploading it after that.

As long as you're not saving an animated picture with a program that doesn't support making animations, it should work.

It is only 120X120, and I saved it from the internet into MS Paint.
