I'll assume that I do not need to reintroduce myself or relink the threads in question. No doubt I'm even expected and the firing squad is standing ready.

I find the "solution" being forced on us to be one made from frustration combined with laziness. Feel free to smite me if I'm wrong. However, I present you with another solution, equally lazy, but one that may appease us all.
  • Step 1: Reinstate the ALL nuked posts on the first thread
  • Step 2: Lock the first thread
  • Step 3: Have the thread author start a new thread with the same initial post (feel free to post as many warnings as you wish within it)

Why is this solution better? Well, she'll have her clean "flame-free" post (which seems to be priority #1 for the author and the admins). The original one will be locked, and therefore that drama falls down the pagelist as the days pass. And most importantly to me, my posts will be visible again and not lost.

If your investigation was at all thorough, you'll have found clear evidence to back all my previous claims. I'm not sure why I must deal with this pathological liar. Posts are being nuked for being off topic. What about the posts of malicious lies made against me. If they're nuked then they never happened? That doesn't work for me. I’m not fond of being accused of RMT. I know Allakhazam has had to face similar accusations. I’m sure none of you are fond of it either. To protect myself in the future I need to do two things. Have a record of what was done to me in the past, as well as a dated, unedited account of what my wishes are so that no one can later claim that I never made them. When dealing with this psychotic liar, I see this as a necessary step. A step that has been undone by nukes twice now. I'm wondering if being off topic in these forums really is a worse crime than false accusations?

It's not like I want to participate in some back and forth fight. My posts in that thread were few. To get in such a fight with that nutcase would be rather pointless. I just want to publicly state my position and leave it at that. No one needs to guess at what my feelings are or make assumption of my intentions when they are spelled out. I made my statement days ago, and today suddenly they're amoung the nuked posts again.

Although I'm prepared to do so, I'd rather not have to repost my position for a third time (which won't be hard since I saved the last batch as a .txt file). Please consider implementing the solution I suggested above. A mistake was made to get involved without investigating the whole story, and another mistake in simply nuking everything today and telling everyone to play nice. Two wrongs don't make a right, and quick fixes usually mean more work in the long run. If you’re going to be involved, put the time required into it, otherwise leave us to fix our own messes.

It'll be interesting to see what the admins say, I doubt they'll unnuke the posts though.
I'm not trying to make fun of you, but I think you're letting this get to you alittle too much.

Actually, I think its time to prove that you are indeed the better man by walking away from this, head held high and just let it go.

I also posted in that thread and I too am disappointed with the nuking of the posts. The posts in question that were nuked portrayed the original poster in a very negative light, one that severely cast doubts on her intentions to make the post in the first place. As one tired of Poof's antics, I tried to make the point obvious that there were ulterior motives behind her making the thread. The fact that she told Yuri that a popularity contest was one of them speaks largely on the OP's thinking. However, the truth behind this has all been covered up and it is not right that her malicious actions are no longer visible to people who might fall into her hands. There is a reason why this person's post are constantly rated down by many people. She knows how to play GMs and admins to get what she wants and the actions done by this thread is another sorry example. I could only imagine how many times she whined to the administrator to cover up her lies. She is a pathelogical liar and the topics on her are numerous. She even has a phone number posted on the thread for people to call to give information,a number when called recently by someone was for a different person. Stop giving her outs and let her actions and words show her for what she is.

We've decided that you on both sides are both insane. You really need to let this go and get on with your life. So does she. Seriously.

Forget it...

Thank you for the diagnosis, Dr. Kaolian. If this is so small and trivial in your books, you shouldn't have gotten involved with the thread in the first place. You have a thread with 1000+ replies to counter alligations that Allakhazam is involved in RMT. Apparently I'm not even allowed 1 reply when faced with the same. Thanks for setting the double standard. I won't bother you again since I have no reason to believe anyone gives a damn about how I feel or is even capable of trying. Nuke me, ban me, whatever...

So some crackpot that most of the server forum thinks is an idiot called you a RMTer. That got nuked. The only reason anyone on the planet even remembers that it happened is because you yourself keep bringing it up. You both got told to knock it off. She stopped. you didn't. End of story. your reply was nuked because you were flameing. Had it been a rational response it would have been left. it seems to me that between this thread and the other thread that you made earlier, you have had many more than one reply on the subject. Go call her a RMTer if it will make you feel better. I stand by my insanity diagnosis.

Glad to know Zam's reputation is constantly reinforced...

Oh and btw, before you nuked the posts, noticed how she didn't stop.

I was thinking this is overblown but that does seem like a kinda weak answer from the admins. I can see Yuris side of this, to him this person insulted his reputation and was trying to further ruin it(I assume since I wasn't part of the drama), I hope there was at least a PM or two warning the other person about being a troll(if that was whats going on). But in the end its not our site and we don't get to make the rules.

But in the end, if we weren't here then there wouldn't be a site.

Smiley: dubious

I don't know the discussion and all, but it sounds like something that could be fixed user to user without the intervention of admins. Just make a post stating that you're not a RMT'er and have people back you up on it. Do it in a way that isn't flaming and people will not counterflame.

Unless that's what you already did..?

And that is our choice, we don't like the decisions of the appointed admin/mods we can always leave or like yuri seems to have done, give up and lose faith in them.
I for one don't approve of Kao just calling them insane, kinda weak like I said before. At least reply in a tone alittle less condesending might've got a better reaction and maybe not made people bitter towards the site. But meh, just my opinion.

Yeah Kao is notorious for making mad decesions and gets away with them. there should be checks and balances to admins powers some times there not right.

Kid, moving your post is the tamest thing Kao has done and certainly not abusing his position.

Take a gander at the Asylum, even if their posts are idiotic topics, they are still for the most part written in MLA standard. Also,if you are heartbroken over Kao moving your post, you most certainly would not survive in there. He was, in his own way, doing you a favor.

Seriously, just relax. Having your post moved isn't the end of the world nor is an admin expressing his opinion about your post.

If you know the stove is hot enough to burn you why, oh why do you persist in touching it and then crying over the blisters?

I really think Kao's response is made out of frustration guys. His title is not "Baby-sitter." They have tried to be nice and accommodate, as best they could, faced with 2 separate accounts of what is happening. They don't have time to hold trials by jury to solve this. The quick fix would work, if this wasn't dragged back up constantly.

No offense to the "wronged" party, but I would like to see the admin's working toward making the boards run smoothly with the server transitions, rather than getting stuck in a flame war. Most posters here are teen-agers on up to adults. We should be able to quietly handle our disputes without too much intervention from them. Its not the playground at recess, here.

I am happy, for the most part, with how little they "interfere." Other boards I hang out on, would have banned all involved by this point. So I guess, I ask politely, to please, just let it go and lets go back to enjoying ourselves sharing about the interest that we all have in common. Spinning our tires in the sand here is doing nothing productive^^
