Require a rate up for every rate down?Follow

And vice versa?

Would this patch up the karma system at least a little? It seems like people will take the time to rate-down but never bother to rate anything up, and it just becomes a collective trend...

Would also prevent socks from mass-rating their main account too easily.

Allow a little disparity, then have a certain threshold where you have to point out some good before you keep tossing the bad?

Grr, I'm just mad I lost my scholar over some 9/11 topics that were downrated all the way down the thread by a few people, every post default or worse.

Well, to be fair, you were rated down by many people for that post, not just a few. Unpopular threads will do that, especially when they are in the wrong forum.

The only adjustment karma ever needed was a 0.01 cap on how much one specific person could effect another.

A lot of scholar's would appear and maybe a few guru's would vanish..

But no one has cared about karma since 2004.
