Will Zam.com ever bring back the web hosting site? I have used alot of other guild hosting sites. None of the others gives you the versatility that guildwizard has brought us.
I enjoyed the web hosting. Made it easier to what any guild needed to do all in one site.

You didn't even spell it right Smiley: frown

This one is specifically not locked because we want anyone who has something to say about it to do it here rather than making new threads.

As long as we're bumping...

It's pushing a year now since this went down. Are you ever going to come clean with the names of the businesses involved or is that still Super Secret-Squirrel Information That Can't Yet Be Told?

Is that a "Yes" for RPG Holdings? Is there a reason why no one will just give the name, straight up?

RPG Holdings.. what a craptasticular name.

Funny that I haven't heard of this giant company before. I mean, it has to be pretty successful to buy out both IGE and Zam (with sub-sites), right?

It's presumably a holding company owned by IGE to acquire new companies. There's scant little company info about them on the web and the page that looked like it was their website is now a generic "Host with IndyNet!" page.

The third hit for "RPG Holdings LLC" leads to GayIndy.com but I decided not to click that link from work Smiley: grin

Of course it is.

Which is why I shake my head every time I hear people defend the merge with the words "But we're not owned by IGE!"

Yes, you are. Whether you know it or not. IGE is the money maker in the company and they bought out Zam.com because it's a hub of potential customers and knowledge about the players.

Just imagine what they could do with the WoWReader database. Coincidence that I've been receiving spam tells on newly created characters? Or did someone take a glance at the character list I uploaded via WoWReader?

This is what paranoia is made of.

Smiley: laugh

I've been getting those a lot lately, too. My least favorite are the in game mails they send. I get all excited, "Oooh, I had an auction that sold!!" Then I open it up...

Smiley: motz

So I make it a habit to reply (C.O.D. of course) and tell them to die in a fire. They may never get it, but it makes me feel a little better.

Yet, you are still premium.
