Iamadam when they bought us, they bought assets and liabilities and assumed all contracts. One of the contracts we have is our privacy policy which specifically states that we will not sell your information. Thus, they can't violate that policy.
From this statement I have a lot more to worry about. They bought ALL your assets. It is owned by them. Alla wont sell your information because they don't have to. It is OWNed by IGE now because you sold the business which includes the data.
The company I work for bought a competitor about 2 years ago. If we had asked to buy their client data before we took them over, they would have laughed at us and yes they did have a privacy notice. The notice was not violated since we bought them out lock stock and barrel. They became part of our organization and thus we got all their client information.
Even though it is probably too late to keep my information from IGE now, I am sure going to try. I am canceling my premium subscription and changing all my information. I trusted Alla and I feel really violated by this.
