I'm pretty sure 12 hour shifts don't really help your sleeping pattern, either.

Kalivha, Being over 50 makes it nearly impossible to find a good paying job. I've been there nearly 4 years now. This is with the
State and it has a retirement pension and great health benefits. The School is abusing the employees to the point that they are
getting run down and then sick like I just did. I'm in the process of submitting a complaint to OSHA over the working conditions
and the random hours and the working other shifts. Not having consistent sleep is one of the worst things that
can happen to you.
