Less than a year before some folks think the world will end because of that Mayan Calendar thing. Or maybe the whole Shadowrun thing will happen. Of the two, I kinda hope it's the latter. I hope I mutate into one of the cool races, maybe celebrate my 30th birthday as an Elf. If it's the former, well, at least I won't have to worry about turning 30 and being olde liek Nixnot.
However, I'll have to celebrate my 29th birthday as any normal birthday. A few gifts, a thread full o' rateups and a night at work where one guy won't effing leave the lobby.
So what did ya get me? If you haven't purchased anything, starting a fund to get me some cybernetic implants would be fine, since you never know what next year holds.

On an end times note, I made a promise with a bunch of friends that we all get really drunk on doomsday. So if the world does end, we'll be too incontinent to know it; and if it doesn't then at least it gives us a great excuse for a themed party.

yea, my parents pretty much gave up trying to keep my birthday even with my sisters by the time I was like.... 14. Though in their defense, I had turned into one of those people who is absolutely impossible to find a gift for around 11, so that they managed to keep it up for a few extra years is good enough for me. I got lucky though, my childhood bestfriend and I were born like... 15-16 hours apart, and we both hit the "impossible to find a gift" stage around the same time. We basically just celebrate our birthdays together now, since no one else, except us, ever wants to do anything the week after christmas.

At least for him, everyone isn't already worn out from christmas. My birthday is the 26th (my friend is the 27th). My dad is the 31st. Everyone else in my immediate family is in the summer. Somehow my sisters are July 1st (younger sister) and 2nd (older sister), my grandma is june 25, my older brother is may 20th, and my mom is august 30th. My dad and I get shafted for presents every year.
