Somehow I'm beginning to think you fell on your head. If you have a death-wish or want to become a slave go ahead and accept an internship in the middle east. I hear that harems are an in thing for the women these days.

This has to be one of the most retarded things you've ever posted.

Perhaps your not aware of things that really do happen in country's that she mentioned. I'd be ashamed if I didn't at least state that travel as well as an internship in such countries is very risky. And yes people disappear all the time. Silly as it seems there are documented cases of women vanishing to only if their lucky to escape from some Harem years later. Then add into the fact of the total instability of the whole region that she wants to travel. I would highly recommend some different choices including Jordan. It's a war zone at this time.

Jordan isn't Israel.

Seriously, it is kind of odd to be concerned about Jordan while at the same time not being concerned about Pakistan at all (and yeah, just because I <3 the place doesn't mean I don't realise how insanely unstable it is).

Also, part of this is that I want to leave Europe/NA for more than a couple of weeks next summer. There are a few options that are interesting to me that aren't in the Middle East or South/South East Asia, but there are no exchange programmes there as far as I've seen and most other countries feel way too dodgy to me. I honestly think at this point in time I'd get on better there than in most other places that aren't "The West".

I went with the fiance option, for the singular reason that even if it is on the off-chance, with the fiance option you limit the whole "seen in public without a man" situation.
