Do pitchers really need all that time off in between games?

No. They often throw a bull pen session at 3 days rest (60-80 pitches). I hope St Louis sucks it up and pitches Carpenter in games 1/4/7.

There won't be a game 7. I've told you this. Cards take the series 4-2. Mark my words.

Fine, games 1 and 4, and ready to go should a meltdown happen and they reach game 7.

Against the Rangers?! I know you're a fan, but put the Kool-Aid down.

Some stats for you

Top three hitters by average in the LCS (AL + NL)

* Freese
* Pujols
* Holiday

Top three hitters by hits in the LCS (AL + NL)

* Freese
* Pujols
* Holiday

Top three run scorers in the LCS (AL + NL)

* Cruz (tied)
* Freese (tied)
* Jay (tied)

Offensively, across the board, the only consistent performer for the Rangers was Cruz. Nobody else even makes it in the top 5. Cruz may be all that, but the rest of the team isn't. Team ERA for both the Rangers and the Cardinals in the LCS were both above 4 (with the Rangers leading by a mere .23 points) and both teams are tied for the fewest allowed ER (25).

There's absolutely zero statistical advantage in this upcoming series for the Rangers. Talk about kool-aid drinking.

No Kool-Aid drinking here, I couldn't care less about either of the teams in the World Series this year. I did however watch the Rangers absolutely pummel one of the best pitching teams in the ALCS this year. I've watched you over the years talk about the Cardinals, and can't help but point out your complete lack of objectivity. Rangers in 7.

The Cardinals had almost no chance of making it to the playoffs this year, and now they're in the world series. Yes, I'm a fan, but objectively speaking, they've performed way beyond expectations, and I don't expect that to die with the NLCS. Cardinals in 6, 4-2. That's just the way it is. It's a repeat of 2006 in the making.

Cardinals are so bad they will win negative 1 games. Is it that hard to understand?

Having played Fantasy baseball this year for the first time in ages, I can absolutely state that streaks can, and do end weekly. The Cardinals definitely performed beyond expectations. I don't see it continuing.

That's just the attitude we don't need, Kastigir! They only need to stay motivated!

Simply change Texas to Mohawk.

How about that 3 HR game by Pujols? How about that 16-7 THRASHING of the Rangers? Cards up 2-1... go BIRDS!

Also... lol @ rate downs. Passive aggressive Rangers fan, much?

In case my previous post wasn't obvious enough, I couldn't give 2 ***** about baseball. Probably the most boring sport to watch there is.

No, I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with Ranger fans and everything to do with you.

Eh, whatever. Pujols put up the best performance in world series history last night and the Cards are up 2-1. Naysayers and haters be damned. I do think the Cards will lose at least 1 game in TX though. Not intentionally, mind you, but it would be a nice finish to allow St. Louis to celebrate a series win in their own ballpark.
