Apparently, they drove their boat back and forth between the island and the mainland after the shooting started, and rescued 40 people from the water (wounded, in shock, or otherwise). Bullets struck the side of their boat in the process, and they made four trips.
I like how the media reports on how the shooter played video games, but fails to report this.

The couple saved 40 people. Great job! Give them a commendation of sorts. However, their sexual orientation has little to do with their action and doesn't really have a bearing on the story itself, unless you're trying to push some agenda.

Finally! I'm happy to see I'm not the only one thinking this way. Who cares if they are lesbians? They did a good deed and it should've been mentioned, but it wasn't. It wasn't because they are lesbians.
