So I found out on Monday that I have been selected for advancement to second class petty officer/E-5. For non-military folk the enlisted ranking system goes from E-1 being the lowest to E-9 being the highest.
I scored better than 92% of the 1600 people who took the exam and am one of about 150 people selected to advance to Electronics Technician 2nd Class.
Finally after 5 times taking the test I made it! I missed advancement last test by 0.83 points and crushed it this time by 13.06 points. Sad part is last test I studied the most I have ever and this time I didn't study at all.
I am glad to have made E-5 by my 4th year mark.
