Computer Chair.Follow

So I'm in need of a new one. All the chairs I have owned in the last 7 years have all (no joke) came out of a dumpster and had parts swapped to make them usable.
I come to the OoT for suggestions.
Here is some helpful info I guess:
1- If it can be shipped out of Amazon, that would be awesome because I still have free 2 day shipping!
2- Under $200 (I don't even know what a "good" one costs) would be nice.
3- Needs to be able to support my bigness (more it can hold, the better).

Has anyone sat in one of these? I've yet to see them in any store to try them out. Do you sit more on your knees (I have 1 bad knee)?

When it comes to computer chairs, I tend to hate most chair designed for home computing. Primarily they tend to be wheeled, which doesn't work well with my carpet, and offers no stability even on a hard floor.

I tend to like very simple sled chairs like this one. I usually get the variety without arms as they allow for more varied sitting positions. They're cheap. They're durable. They're very stable; I even regularly get up on one corner.

They're certainly not stylish, if that matters to you. I can also see them potentially being uncomfortable to sit in for longer periods, though I've never had issues.

I know you said under $200, but i'm ignoring that entirely for my reccommendation. Get an Aeron chair.

Now $679 isn't cheap, but the things are by far the best and most durable office chairs around, and they have a 12 year full warranty. Something breaks, you call them, they send you a new whatever it is. Most other really "Good" $200ish chairs are only going to last 3 or 4 years at the best. The pistons they use in the ehight adjust modules on those tend to be really cheap. At any rate, if you get one it will be likely the last computer chair you ever have to buy. Also, they work well for largerish people.

Also, those ultimate posture chairs tend to be tough on the knees I've found. We had one growing up. I hated that thing.

Those chairs are really super comfortable, but only for short periods of time. I would love to use one of these chairs if I ever had a studio. It's a great ergonomic alternative to a normal chair, or a standing computer desk, but only for a work environment, where you'll be sitting in it for maybe a half hour or less at a single time.

If you have problems with your knees though, I imagine you would hate the idea of sitting like that, because you are basically kneeling at an elevated angle. It distributes your weight solely from your *** onto a combination of your *** and shins/knees.

EDIT: haha, booze.

Having used one of those ergonomic chairs for a few years, I can say that the lack of back support was a real issue for me. I've got something similar to this. Had it for a few years now, I weigh between 200 and 215.

I sat in one of those kneely chairs waay back when I was a kid. It was the most comfortable chair I ever sat in. It makes your back straighten out. I'm a lot bigger now though, and I doubt I'd find it comfortable any more.

The best chair I've ever had was a 69 dollar one I got at office depot. It was exactly like the ones that most state workers used here in Texas. It had some kind of HD cushions that didn't break down after years of usage. sadly, It ended up a casualty of my last move and was broken by my fridge falling on it in the trailer. I use a 49 dollar Wallmart desk chair. It's ok but the arms annoy me.
