9/10

Loose a point for being a teeny bit wonky in not a good way. Also for being just that little bit too flat. Some of the inner dark lines could have been darker, in order to create more contrast and therefore more dynamism. Especially the tall diagonal dark lines on the inner curve above the eyes. But really that is just being picky.

This is a genial, friendly animal emerging out of his wet ink wash style. Good art, that just misses out on being great.

BTW, you should have kept it for your 10k =^-^=
It would have been Epic.

Also, after not looking at it for about 2 hours, and on a different monitor, I can see several flaws right off the bat. Mostly that his mouth doesn't feel like it's placed very well, and the cooler monitor that I was using was much more dynamic in color range than this Warmer monitor I'm using.

It's not the MOST accurate drawing of a sasquatch that I've ever seen. For example, the googling brings up images such as the below.

http://www.creativeuncut.com/gallery-02/art/ds-sasquatch.jpg

Now, I'm no artist, but I can spot a couple of differences between the two pictures...

In a "Give a mouse a cookie" sort of situation, I'd buy one of those, sync all my monitors, and then need to find out what the school's calibrated monitors are calibrated to, and do test prints to ensure that everything is balanced right.

90$ for a calibrator easily becomes 200+ dollars over time. Truefax

Maybe you can borrow/rent one from school?
I can take a calibrating set home from school for a day for €5 which means I don't have to buy one as long as I'm mainly using my laptop for photoshop because I can calibrate that for free at school.

I tried that, but for some ridiculous reason they would only check out the equipment to those who they had trained, and the only way to receive training would be to be a photography student, which I thought was rather dumb.

Huh, well I guess it helps that my school is really small so these kind of things aren't such a big deal.
Still, sucks for you Smiley: frown
