There is currently a heavy, large flaked, wet snow falling, and lightning/thunder crashing.

Thunder-Snow storms are pretty rare... I think. I've never really seen it before. Usually what I think is thunder turns out to be a large truck rumbling. This time there is some pretty frequent lightning flashes visible.

It's pretty neat to see, I have really only seen it twice, and we get a lot of snow here. Once when I was visiting relatives in the Northwest Territories, and once here in Alberta. The time in the NWT was pretty awesome and was actually snow, the time in Alberta was more so hail than snow. The northern lights really made the one when I was in NWT more amazing, I was just a kid that time though.

We had thundersnow last week. It was weird. I've only seen it 2-3 times in my life.

Yeah, I've only seen it a handful of times too. Neat. Except that it includes snow, and now that it's April I'd rather not see snow again for the rest of my life.

This year was pretty awful in Edmonton for snow, a lot of the places north of us got it worse than we did too. I honestly think this year was the second worst year for snow I have ever seen, if not the worst.

I'm not sure we broke any records here this year, but the past couple years were record-setters. I just never like snow.

Why is it spooky? Did you have another child? Did your daughter re-enter the womb? Is it your daughter's birthday?

Experienced thunder-snow several times over the years. One storm was so bad the winds had the telephone wires whipping around and arching adding to the flashes. The next day came the sub-zero cold and the ice. Such a contrast to the thunder and the winds and snow.

Awesome, when no-body gets killed, I love the wilds of nature. Even a brisk wind can make me happy.
