Are you sure you wouldn't just stay home and make bacon? I do like me some Danish rashers with my breakfast. :3

The beautiful thing about keeping one's standards reasonably low is that they are abundantly easy to meet.

Glad you asked.

The focus is doing 11.5 second quarters which is reasonably good considering it isn't a ***-trap and doesn't have V-TEC in it. The turbo, engine polishing, piston, DOHC replacements, along with the rods, fwd system, transmission/clutch, and fuel system was a pain in the *** to find but I'm finally comfortable with the car and handed it over to my wife. Needless to say she is very happy with it.

My 4.0 mustang however is only doing 12.3's and still needs a lot of work. I put it on the back burner so I could wipe my hands clean of the Focus. No sense in dividing my attention to two cars when I can focus (no pun intended) on one car and clean it up and move to the next. The 'Stang still needs a lot of work, but I think once I change out some critical engine components in it's SOHC system and stick it on a twin-turbo it should run pleasingly well. Now that my time in the Navy is finally coming to a close I'll be able to concentrate on the 'Stang and get her singing that beautiful engine music down the road. Oh Penelope, sing that beautiful sonnet.

Can't say I'm a fan of American cars (obviously) with the exception of Chevy, but at least a mustang is a definite step up from a dang focus. Good lord your love of that car makes **** all sense to me. Anyway, definitely drop some pics of the stang when you got it presentable.

I love Ford. Just got myself a new Flex <3 <3 <3 She handles so nicely and is so comfortable. It's big but drives like my old focus hatchback

I don't think you can really see the Ford Focus as an American car with how many there are driving around Europe.

I'm pretty sure it's European inspired as well. Kinda like those *** cars, Fiat.

Well I kind of punched myself in the balls. Ford is bringing the Focus RS to the US and rumor has it will house a turbocharged 3.5 in line 5 cylinder engine that stock will outrun Mustang 5.0's on the quarter. I'm not crazy about AWD but the fact remains that the RS will only be slightly worse than my current Focus and if that had come out in 2003 I wouldn't have had to do so much work to a 4 banger.

Oh well, can't cry over spilled milk. Just the same, it's very aggravating.

The 'Stang is a love-hate relationship right now. I keep changing what I want it to do very often and I don't want to lose drivability so it's very hard to get that nice balance of race-ready and still be able to take the damn thing to work without bloodletting to keep the gas tank full.

The car was originally developed in Europe and just one look at it will tell you it is most definitely an European. It sold well and made for buko-bucks so they killed the Escort (yes I know the Focus and Escort were both in production for a couple of years) as the economy-class car (and rightfully so) and brought over the more modernized Focus which earned several awards in the US in it's debut year.

I like the look of that Focus, mostly because it reminds me of the rally version though and rally cars automatically get +3 coolness.
