transition lensesFollow

I just bought a pair of ray ban new wayfarers because I liked the frame, but what I really need is prescription glasses. So I was thinking of getting transition glasses for them, but I've been told there's a small tint left when you get into buildings and that they don't really work inside your car due to the windows' UV filter.

So think its worth it? It kind of seems to me it isn't... I'm not sure. But I'm liking *so* much the sunglass look to my ray ban. :<

Why not discuss it with your eye doctor or the people in the glasses store? I know plenty of people who use Transitions and don't hear any complaints.

All the ones I've seen eventually darken and don't lighten again when you get inside. Maybe they are better now? (Probably not though). I wouldn't buy the option. But then again, I'm fairly frugal.

I don't know anyone that doesn't make fun of people that wear transition lenses.

There is a residual tint left on the glasses when you go indoors, but it's not that noticeable. If you are concerned about them not working while in a car just go for one of those buy on/get one free specials, and get a regular pair and a pair of prescription sunglasses.

I've used em the past few years (Carpenter that's inside/outside quite often during the day) They might have a slight tint left inside but it's not noticeable, and no they do not work in your car. I just get a cheap pair of clipons for the car. The only real issue I have with em is in cold weather, they take much longer to change back to normal when coming inside when its 20 degree's outside as opposed to 70 degree's.

My glasses have transition lenses. I like them in the summer. They sort of **** me off in winter though because they're sensitive enough to change even when it's cloudy. Makes me look like a schmuck.

I doubt the glasses make you look like a schmuck.
