So, one of the adverts at the top of ZAM was for PlayWithMe (http://playwithme.com).

I about shat myself giggling.

I mean, sure...it's pathetic...hire some "hot" girl to play games with you over the internet via webcam.

My first line would be like *********** I died...bewbs please", if I didn't think it was really a man.

And just because I absolutely HAD to try it out...I signed up online and posted a picture of an ex girlfriend from Japan.

But all jokes aside...anyone have thoughts on this? "Cam whores", or whatever you want to call them, abound on the internet. Why not "Game whores" (I like the term)? And I wonder what the disadvantages of this being targeted at "gamers" is? One of the main thoughts that crossed my mind is what a young chap with access to a checking account or credit/debit card will waste his money on while feeling lonely while growing up. We all know School can be a pain at times, and often with a huge amount of emotional turmoil and baggage (mainly due to hormones and trying to find our place in society, while still being able to experiment with fringe "cliques"). But if this sort of thing takes off and is successful, what message does it send?

PS - I'll let you know if I make any money off of my ex. This should turn out to be very similar to chat roulette...minus the nasty bits. I figure, if anyone does do it, I can just have my wife sit down and play. She's studying English so she can grab a part time job here in the States - why not get her into video games while making money?

The ads on ZAM are determined by your browsing habits.

But really, internet advertising isn't necessarily tied to a machine. Think about your google account. All that searching you've done, all profile you, and when you're logged into your google account anywhere, you get shown ads that are most likely to get you to click.
