Yes, reproduction is for procreation only. But reproduction =/= sex.

Sex can be for recreation. In fact, that's probably what sex is to 95% of the men in the world.

FTFY Smiley: frown

Wait, are you actually saying that women only have sex to procreate?

No? Where did I say that? I said that for 95% of men, sex is likely for recreation. I would imagine for a significant number of women, especially in developing and undeveloped countries, sex is for reproduction only. Nowhere near 95%, but a much larger number than for men.

See, I used to think that too, and then I discovered the unspoken good old tradition of male-female sodomy as a contraception.

Yeah, they really want to have 20 kids when they live in an inner-city slum.

Somehow I doubt this.

That's fine, I just don't think so, and I'm too lazy to look up stats on it!

Even if it isn't done purely for reproduction, I don't think 95% of women consider it "recreation" either. The guys they're with might, but the ladies likely don't.

Yeah, I think you'd be wrong on that.

But then, I think we've had this conversation before. But instead of arguing with Locke, I was arguing with Alma.

Zing!

I was informed a few weeks ago that my uncle and aunt are getting a divorce because he's railing the fellas.

This year would have been their 30th year anniversary as they've been together since 7th grade. He's the father of 3 boys, extremely active member of his church, little league coach and really a "pillar of the community" type guy. He takes trips all over the country 10-15 times a year and apparently loads of **** were some of the local attractions.

If you're sexually attracted to dudes.. you're going to **** dudes and that's that. Repress who you are and you will most definitely regret it. The other side of the fence is a life of secrecy, shame and more weight on your shoulders than anyone can handle.

There's no shame in being penetrated, guy. It's 2010.

Ouch! Smiley: lol

It might just be ingrained into my head from a Catholic upbringing that girls don't enjoy sex as much as guys. Tie that together with the constant negative stories we hear of rape in Africa, child brides in the Middle East, and sex trafficking in Asia, and I have an image in my head that makes it hard to believe that 95% of sex a woman has is for her own pleasure.

You should probably do the sex with a lady one time. When I was 5 or so the idea of girls having different parts was super icky! Hell, even as I got older it still seemed icky with all the...wetness and plumbing and the time of the month and all that. I got over it eventually, probably around 14 or so. I have a feeling your hangup isn't about parts though. This advice was likely irrelevant, as it was intended to be :)

Yeeaah. That's almost as bad as Alma's argument that Kavekk likes to link saying that if women enjoyed sex as much as men, they wouldn't mind a guy grabbing her *** in a bar. Women like sex. They don't like being treated like someone's property. Smiley: tongue

Women enjoy sex as much as men, and both sexes want the freedom and right to choose who they do it with in private, and who gets to put hands where out in public places.

I think you underestimate how obsessed men are with sex.

They are too. We're just more predatory and aggressive.

I've had to say "no more" more than once before and it's not a feeling of pride that follows my friend.

I agree, but the point I was aiming for is that in many places in the world women don't get the freedom and right to choose with whmo or when they have sex. Hence why I don't think that 95% of sex is for recreation when it comes to women - I don't think it's necessarily for procreation, but there are other reasons such as duty, obligation, or simply a lack of freedom.

But if you break it down country by country, sub-culture by sub-culture, the figures change a lot.

Apparently there are 8 times more nerve endings throughout the ******** as there are throughout the *****. I wonder if researchers ought to include prostate nerve endings in the count for male pleasure receptors? Prostates are stimulated through heterosexual vaginal intercourse, as well as through sodomy, right? Wrong?
