Seeing Skype pop up with a little notification every once and awhile, at least 3 or 4 times a day while I'm using the computer, telling you that Koen Drost has come online? It's fun, it really is.

Damn European internet connection, that must be it!

I'm not sure what this is about, but those notifications can be turned off.

Just those little tabs that rise up from the corner of the screen, I just found it weird that the notification for him pops up a lot, though I know he's not always logging off and on.

Something nonsensical and petty to whine about, really. >.>

His connection does seem to be a bit shaky.

The worst thing is, the Skype Plugin shows his online status in your post.

I was unaware that there was a Skype plugin, though nowadays there's plugins for most popular programs and things.

I try to avoid plug ins for firefox, just bogs it down all the more. All I use is Ad Blocker, NoScript, ChatZilla, and Direct Link.

I'm happy to note skype pops and then ignore them.

It's sort of like reading alone at a table in a cafe, and having other people around in the background at other tables.

I just don't log into Skype. Problem solved. And when I did, I didn't set it to auto login when the computer starts up.

Skype is terrible. Whenever you start it up, it'll update you on the past year's worth of chats, even if you've left the room.

You guys never actually, you know, talk on it, so I don't understand why you even use it.

For this reason alone, I uninstalled it quite some time ago. I'm fine with keeping a history, but don't show it to me every damn time I reconnect.
