It's in relation to the Sarah Palin hacking case.

Having the term "rickroll" defined to a judge in a court of law is quite possibly the funniest thing to happen.

I thought defining "new ****" was funnier. Especially hilarious is the inflection I imagine the attorney gives the term.

I wonder if he made finger quotes.

Other things that are funny: Everything about this country.

When the backbone of your country's economy is collecting bird ****, and you have a 90% unemployment rate and 0% income and corporate tax rates, yet you still have an airport, you know you have succeeded as a president.

Keep in mind that this country used to have the highest per capita income last generation, surpassing even the US's per capita income in the 60's

It's current major export is the for profit recognition of other countries.

It's like someone just got bored playing sim city.

Q. "Rickroll"?

A. Rickroll is a mean or Internet kind of trend

I guess we know one court reporter who doesn't lurk enough.

Well, have you tried the fourth game? It's terrible.

Yeah, that was a fairly boring and tedious read. You need to have your sense of humor checked. I kept hoping for something and got nothing, right down to the court reporter signature at the bottom.

That's what caught my eye as well - well, after the Weddle/Poole juxtaposition.

Quote:
Q. And the term "rickroll" you said it tries to
make people go to a site where they think it is going to
be one thing, but it is a video of Rick Astley, is that
right?
A. Yes.
Q. He was some kind of singer?
A. Yes.
Q. It's a joke?
A. Yes.

The "He was some kind of singer?" part was kind of funny.

Well, have you tried the fourth game? It's terrible.
In all fairness, it's only terrible by comparison to SC2K and SC3K.

It's better than the original game. Not much, but it is better.

Sim City 4 (with the Rush Hour expansion and network addon module) was the best of the series. I really don't have a clue what you people are talking about.

Sim City 4 without those is pretty horrible.

As in, damn near unplayable horrible.

Oh, man! I was really thinking about getting SC4. I liked 2K and 3K. Also... was it 3K Unlimited? Or was that 2K?

Anyhoo, as long as I get the expansions it's ok?

On a more serious note that's OP related, there was an interesting article in the Globe that referenced this case.

It's current major export is the for profit recognition of other countries.

I remember there used to be (or still is) one of those tiny island nations whose chief export was those stupid stamp sets you'd see advertised in the Sunday comics. "Actual issued stamps feature beloved characters from Green Acres!"

I wonder if the USPS drove them into bankruptcy when it started whoring itself out and making stamps for every intellectual property people had heard of.

Yea, it's awesome. I still fire it up now and again.

And it was 3k Unlimited.

Just get the Deluxe version - it comes with the rush hour expansion. The other (NAM) is a free download, user contributed.

Apparently a coup was staged in their country by a weightlifter locking and barring the door to their parliament building, so he won the election by default, since noone else could get in to vote. He is currently their president.

Their crack investment team turned a 1.3 billion dollar fund into 138 million. Every single investment they made crashed and burned.
