Now, as most of you know, I can and will eat a wide-range of edibles. I love eating out at restaurants and I love trying new foods.

But ****, my 7 year old niece is having her birthday party at Jollibee.

I hate these restaurants. I hate it with a passion. The food is meh. The ambiance sucks and makes me want to boil my eyes and ears in bleach.

And I have to spend at least 3 or 4 hours at this ******* restaurant, eating Americanized Flip food and listening to the crap music they pump out.

I'm in such a pissy mood now.

Don't get short with me young lady!

Seriously though why don't you just eat before you go and order something small?

Not eating a lot at a Filipino family party is the worst possible insult you could give. And me not eating hotdog spaghetti, something that ******* restaurant is famous for, is akin to me stomping on the PI flag and setting it on fire.

You don't understand. You still eat, you just eat much less because you're not that hungry.

Also, showing up drunk helps to numb the pain.

I think a hidden flask of vodka would dull the pain and the taste.

Never heard of the restaurant but the web site is obnoxious.

Hotdog spaghetti sounds like something a 4-yr-old would invent.

Although, to be fair, I did invent the Taco Dog.

Jollibee sucks. It sucks ***. If you want to eat authentic true Filipino food, you don't eat here, you go to one of the mom and pop shops. And yes, it is quite obnoxious.

And seriously, hotdog spaghetti is something that almost all Filipinos eat at one turn or another. I didn't even know that you could have meatballs in spaghetti until I ate somewhere else when I was 6.

Just eat slower and move your food around a lot. Take small portions and then get a bunch of helpings. It seems like you're eating tons!

Yes, Flip. Short for Filipino (pun intended).

Or as some people like to say, Funny Looking Island People.

Christ almighty, we should have let the Spanish keep you. Apparently part of the White Man's Burden is keeping Pacific Islanders away from declaring homemade Chef Boy-Ar-Dee a national meal.

Smiley: lol

Hot dogs or Vienna sausages are added to almost everything. Eggs, ramen, rice, you name it. I think it's only chili that I'll add hot dogs too (over white rice). I haven't Vienna sausages in years.

Chili with rice?

I'd say that's odd, but my favorite thing to put chili on is fritos, so I guess I really can't complain. Mmmm...frito pie...

I'm looking at that menu and thinking "you know, most of that looks almost edible by fast-food standards..."

Are you kidding? I'd go to Chuckee Cheese today if they'd let adults in without children.

Why don't you just "borrow" some kids then?

Around here, no one under the age of 18 is allowed into a Chuckee Cheese w/o an adult.
but then if you are an adult and want to go to Chuckee Cheese, most just go to Dave and Buster's.

Well if they need an adult to get in, and you need a kid to get in, it shouldn't be too hard.

...just stay away from that "beef and mushrooms" plate... it looks like a cow patty with questionable seasonings and a side of over-watered rice. Good luck hun... glad it's you and not me.Smiley: frown

Actually, that looked like one of the better things. It's basically a serving of salisbury steak with rice instead of mashed potatoes.
