The new costume features dark leggings, a studded denim jacket, spurs on her heeled boots and gloves in a new look designed by Korean-American artist Jim Lee of "X-Men" fame. Gone are the star-studded hip-huggers, undersized bustier and knee length, red go-go boots.

Wonder Woman got a makeover. I'm not sure if I care too much but I do agree with the one comment that said "She doesn't really stand out now. She looks pretty much like every other comic book heroine in the X-men non-descript way."

I thought the same. Black leggings and denim jacket? Way to break into the modern era, Pat Benatar!

Other than that, it's boring as hell.

I dont see what you did there, because that's how good it was drawn.

Honestly I think it resembles Shi without the makeup.

I guess I wasn't thinking about the outfit though, more so the character lines. Yeah it's still a bit dated but you have to get new clothes when you get a breast reduction so I can buy it.

So she's Batman instead of Superman now.

The outfit looks like what Marvel did in the late eighties/early nineties with their characters. Remember Storm and Thor's outfits? In another 600 issues she should be dressed for 2010.

Imagine Wonder Woman with a mohawk.

You really are nerds. The fashion scene for the past year or two has been all about 80's revival;

bright blue or pink eyeshadow
pink lipsticks, soft or hot.
LOTS OF HORIZONTAL STRIPES EVERYWHERE.
leggings, often worn with mini-skirts or under a long one-piece knit shirt.
shoulderpads.
jeans are now tight, stretched over the contours of the whole leg.

etc etc.

Jeezus, have a look at the teen-age/young twenties girls on the street next time you go out-side.

Thus-far, the new make-over is actually fashionable. However, I agree it's undistinguished. This would be a great outfit for someone new. It says nothing about Wonder-Woman. It retains none of the whole USA stars-and-stripes thing. It plays down her royal Amazon past too much. There could be a row of stars down the outside of each of her leggings. She could have some modern bling in her hair, that wasn't as naif as a tiara or crown, but more shiny and prominent than her new understated circlet.

I for one am all about 80s revival! You can see it in fashion like Ari said, also a lot of today's music is reminiscent of the '80s style. Which imo is a good thing, considering how crap the "Original" naughties stuff has been.

...I would have had the artists go after more of an Amazonian look to compliment her background. Figures they'd ***** up my fave females' super-hero look. Not to mention, kinda' hard to fashion under-roos based on that look, glad I had the old school ones in the day.
