I'm going to San Antonio in a couple of weeks and am curious if anyone who has been there can recommend some stuff to go see (besides the Alamo) or do in a day.

Have you considered the Alamo? I hear it's the place to go. You can look for zombies a couple of centuries old.

I went there a long time ago when my older brother graduated from Air Force basic training or something like that.
Also, The Alamo.

The river walk was nice. Lots of small restaurants and stuff along the way with some scenic views. The mall there was a cool place to hang out too.

Last time I was there was when I was like 7, but yeah, the river walk is a popular destination.

River walk. Close enough to Mexico to maybe sneak in a donkey show, too.

When you go to The Alamo, ask the tour guide where Ozzy Osbourne urinated. When he points it out, walk over and take a picture.

Then loudly declare, "Well, I'm done with this place." and walk out.

The San Antonio Zoo is pretty nice, as is the Witte Museum... don't forget to check out the historical site that Davy Crockett supposedly died defending.Smiley: grin

Been a long time for me, but as others have said I'd highly recommend the riverwalk. It's a combination ofsightseeing, leisure, shopping, and dining.

Though you could do it anywhere, there's a waterpark called Splashtyown in SanAn, but nearby is an even better one called Schlitterbahn.

Riverwalk, Alamo, Seaworld, Fiesta Texas. Do not drive around or go to any strange places there even a few blocks from the Alamo its not to safe anymore.

Schlitterbahn is the purpose of our visit. :P

We are just having a free day later in the week and I wasn't sure what to do.
