...It's clear you know a few things about anime models.

I'm still deciding on which character to settle on, but I'd like to know what my be some good sites to look at where I can find decent quality models. I'm hoping for something pose-able, definitely not ecchi, and that looks respectable rather than being a shoddy imitation. I'd spend up to $50, but I was hoping for something in more of the $30 range. Could I get anything respectable for that amount of money or are figurines as overpriced as box sets?

Something that isn't the source of nightmares http://web.archive.org/web/20071008195340/http://www.avg-hotgame.net/blogview.asp?logID=185&page=1 (no way to link that with the url tag).

I think the creepiest part about those figures isn't the fact that there are so many of them, but that Usagi can probably name them all, and tell you what shows they're from...

...and they're all probably covered in *****.

Hum, and now I can't find my Anime con books! I actually had the Sailor Moon Beach set Usagi has on his desk. I still have a few of the figures. My former manager at Dell got fired for takeing them (stealing) from my desk. He took them every few days and only the ones with bikini's. .............................

Ok back from my closet. Try doing a net search using these Dealer names from the con I attended
Anime Asylum
Anime Depot
Anime Palace
Anime Pavilion
Anime Remix
Anime USA
Best Anime Shop
Cartoon Passion
The Anime Jutsu
Toy Matrix
Yes Anime

I hope this helps.

I've pretty much settled on either Gilgamesh (Fate/Stay) or Heiwajima Shizuo (Durarara!!). Gilgamesh will likely be easier to find.

Edit: Stupid creepy anime fans. So many wigs and costume outfits, and when I do get to the figurines they're always girls and half of them are in swimsuits or maid outfits. Stupid otaku.

Sorry to be tardy to the party.

Wow. I kinda miss my "ZOMG LOOK AT WHAT AN OTAKU I AM!" bedroom at my apartment. Smiley: lol
Just didn't seem right to put ALL of that stuff back up when I got a house. Anyway...

These are the stores I've order stuff from:

http://www.animecornerstore.com/
http://www.rightstuf.com/rssite/main/
http://www.animenation.com/
I think I've even ordered some stuff from http://www.jlist.com/ NSFW

But really, the bulk of my figures I bought from Suncoast and a local anime store, both of which are gone now. I also ordered some figures from eBay one time. Once I got them, I realized why they were so damn cheap. They were some kind of crappy Chinese knock-off figures made out of some crappy material that didn't hold its shape when it cooled, so they kind sit lop-sided. Watch out for that, I suppose.

$30-$50 should be able to buy you one really nice figure, or a nice set of smaller figures. In that picture, The Alice and Cheshire Cat from the game Alice (Middle in front of the monitor), Rose from the first series of .Hack games (back middle, to the left of the center channel speaker), and the taller Rei Ayunami (back towards the right, standing in front of the right front speaker) were all in about that price range, if memory serves. It's been a long time since I bought anime paraphernalia.

Also, that figure you linked looks like one of those Chinese knock-offs I was talking about. :D

I got a few from Animenation. They have good prices and customer service. Right stuff would be choice #2. I can't seem to find the E-mail address to the place I used to get my straight from Japan Digimon figures and plushes. I have more than a hundred figures and toys. All of them are stored in boxes atm. Don't forget to try the other places I posted earlier couple had some really cool figures on display at the con.

Usagi has a gavel at his desk?
Is it so that when he nukes a post, he shouts out
OBJECTION!
And then nukes it? I think that's what it is.

No, it's something you pay the maid to do.

The maid, and about 23 of her predecessors are still decomposing in the basement. Look closer, you'll see the blood stains on the gavel.

You should ask me next time. I saw Akira more than 20 years ago, so I'm all hardcore with the anime.
